Party Time
Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.
[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.
In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]
OOC: Examples of the type of outfits and such can be found here: costumes and
masks]

"Do... Is dancing like this common in your world?"
Inigo had said he had been a prince and truly this dancing was much like an tale from years past on earth.
no subject
He pulls Taiki slightly closer. Inigo makes it look very natural, as if it's just a regular part of the dance, but it's mostly so he can lower his voice and whisper to the other without the music drowning it out.
"Don't tell anyone else, but I have no idea how you're supposed to dance to this kind of music." He smiles as he says it though before returning to their regular distance from before. "My mother was a dancer, so I have a lot of knowledge on dancing. But only for my own world's dancing, as evidenced right now."
no subject
"She was?"
He knows very little about Inigo, even though out of the two of them Inigo is definitely the more outgoing.
no subject
"Yes. She was.. amazing." Even that word doesn't feel like it does her justice. "I've never seen anyone dance the way she could. It felt magical just to watch it. I, um.. I always wanted to become a dancer, just like her."
It's something he might have difficulty admitting. To most people he'd just not say it at all, but Taiki has been so sweet and open to him whenever Inigo asked something that he feels like he ought to at least trust him enough to admit this.
no subject
"I'd like to hear more about her... um... if you don't mind."
He doesn't want to make Inigo awkward or upset after all.
no subject
It takes a moment for him to even snap himself out of it before he's able to properly speak up again.
"A-Ah, of course I don't mind." He might miss her like hell every since day, but talking about her isn't so bad. That way he can remember the best moments with her and leave out all the bad ones. "She was just incredibly kind and gentle to anyone she met. Mother really has the talent to make anyone she speaks to feel loved and welcomed.. And even though she may be a little shy at times, she always tries her best all the same."
(Does that sound like someone? Yeah, it may be clear which parent Inigo takes after..)
"She married my father despite having absolutely no noble standing, but that makes it all the more obvious that he just loved her for who she was." That's a tidbit he wouldn't tell just anyone, but considering Taiki at least knows about his princely secret, he figures it can't hurt to add it in this case. The music drowns out their conversation to everyone else around them anyway.
no subject
In more than just that, he realises as Inigo keeps talking. Because Inigo was like that as well, kind, gentle and with an ability to make people feel cared for just by being there.
"That must mean they married just for love, it is good to hear." Almost like an old fairy tale. In a world where nobility came through bloodlines. Where people inherited kingdoms and marriage was often political. So to marry for love in such a situation, their love must have been strong indeed.
"She sounds like a really amazing person."
no subject
There's no hesitation about those words whatsoever. It's just the truth. It'd take a lot for anyone to beat his mother in that department. His memory of her has only grown more and more fond the longer she's been dead.
Briefly he contemplates asking Taiki about his parents, but then he remembers the fact Taiki is like a magical pegasus-transforming boy. Do those even have parents? To not even start about the fact that apparently animals grow from trees where he's from? Maybe it's an offensive thing to ask people from that world. Or a weird thing. He decides to for once do the smart thing and just not ask.
"I, uh.. I think I'm a little like my mother. Not a lot, obviously, since it'd be hard for anyone to be on her level. But I'm definitely a lot more like her than like my father."
no subject
He knows nothing about Inigo's father and he wonders about asking, but isn't sure if it will make Inigo sad, when currently he seems happy thinking about his mother.
no subject
"Maybe she will show up here one day." It's not completely impossible, after all. This train has taken all sorts of people here, and it's not as if he hasn't met a still living version of his mother already who could be taken here.
Part of him hates the idea, hates his mother being near more danger, but on the other hand.. he misses her so much. He'd give the world just to be able to see her again.
"She has bright pink hair. It'd be hard to miss her between everyone else on the platform. Then you could thank her in person."
no subject
Inigo seems happy about the idea his mother could turn up. So Taiki keeps smiling even as he keeps dancing.
no subject
After all, Taiki is also so sweet. Not to mention that he's so polite and kind, what's not to love about him? The other deserves so much love, and the more people there are to give it to him, the better.
"So.. how about it? Are you feeling less nervous about dancing now you're not thinking too much about it?"
no subject
He nods at the question though. "Yes, you are a very good teacher."
He isn't worried so much about stepping on his feet anymore at least.
no subject
"If you think so, then you should honour my lessons by dancing with someone else tonight too." He's trying really hard to keep a good balance here - he wants to at least try and get Taiki out of his lonely safe space a bit, but doesn't want to make him too uncomfortable either. It's a delicate balance with someone as gentle and soft as Taiki.. "Surely there has to be another one of your friends present at the party right now. You should dance with them."
no subject
"I... I don't want to bother them, I'm still not very good after all."
He doesn't want to insult Inigo though! "I mean... Not that your lessons aren't good, I am better than I was before you taught me..."
no subject
At least he doesn't feel insulted though. He can see the reason as to why Taiki might not like the idea of dancing with anyone else.
"You would never bother anyone, Taiki. Your presence is a blessing upon any social situation." It sounds a little over the top, like one of the dramatic compliments Inigo may hand out from time to time.. But he means this one. Very sincerely. "Anyone who would be asked to dance by you would feel honoured, I'm sure."
no subject
So he settled on silence as continued dancing, focusing on the music and the steps. Now that he had the basics of it he found it quite fun. Even as he felt guilt at the same time, the same guilt he felt whenever he felt himself relaxing here.
Still he doesn't pull away, he wouldn't do that to Inigo but instead continues dancing until the music ends.
no subject
But it still feels bad. Inigo really wishes there was some way he could get through to the other one day. That Taiki could smile and truly, genuinely accept a compliment in a way that made it obvious he himself believed in it too. (Inigo isn't too sure he can rest until that day, honestly.)
But he keeps on dancing until the song is over. Briefly he considers going for another song, but.. just this one must have taken enough out of the other. Inigo stops moving, making sure to keep the smile on his face.
"Dancing with you was nice." Taiki might not be good at taking compliments, but that doesn't mean Inigo isn't going to remind him of how great he is at every! available! opportunity! "But I don't want to overwhelm you right now. How about we try this again at the next party?"
no subject
It had been fun, he really had liked dancing with Inigo but he's not sure he could continue much past one song. He's happy to go back to watching for the time being.
"I'd like that."
The people on this train seemed to enjoy parties so he didn't doubt there would be another at some point.
