Party Time

Who: Everyone who wants to attend.
What: It's a party for all, but the pairing up part is for singles only.
When: Day 19 of Fiddlesticks
Where: Gym Carriage
Warnings: Who knows atm just Minako being Minako will add more as things happen.

[Minako figured she did the best she could for the party. Though she also wondered if perhaps she might not have that many people come. Sure she wanted to put singles together, but at the same time, she simply wanted people to have fun.

In the dressing carriage, people will find costumes and masks that were more gothic in nature. There was food and hopefully some forms of sweet treats for those looking for it as well as a variety of drink, mostly non-alcoholic.]

[ Welcome to a world of difference in what's considered small scale and what's at least medium scale, since without hesitation Alice just answers: ]

Just knock something over. Something big enough to make a lot of sound.

[ .. Apparently she views damaged property as less bad than personal embarrassment, huh.. ]

Who cares if it ends up damaged? It's not like any of these things are ours.

I... suppose that might work...

[ She sounds mildly flummoxed at the idea of not leaving some sort of small-scale panic in her wake. Don't you feel so safe having her on the train, Alice. ]

Well – I'll see what I can do! If you leave me to it, I'll make sure no one notices you're up to anything at all!

[ She sucks in a deep breath.

A moment after, Alice just looks.. kind of resigned to her fate. She's used to dealing with weird Wonderland beings. If she just views Bryn the same way she does some of them, it feels easier to just accept Bryn's.. Bryn's everything. ]

Alright. [ A pause, and then clearly with some emphasis: ] I'm trusting you.

[ So for the love of god, don't do anything too weird!! ]

You're trusting me? [ It's almost a little pathetic how absolutely delighted she looks. ] Very well! I'll make sure I live up to your expectations!

[ And off she goes!

You have approximately ten seconds to look away before things start crashing. ]

[ Alice really is about to make the worst decision of her life here, isn't she.. But Bryn looks so happy about it that she'd feel too guilty taking those words back. It'd be like kicking a puppy, considering the expression on the other's face!

So yes, Alice is just.. going to quickly grab all these snacks and get them the hell out of here before she has to see what Bryn is doing. Judging by the examples, she'd rather just.. not. Just not.

When she returns, it's charcoal snackless, so apparently she found a way to dump them. But the way she enters the carriage again is also hesitant, as if she's kind of afraid of what she may find in the wake of Bryn's carnage. ]

[ There's crashing. There's absolutely, definitely crashing and the sound of brief, quickly-quashed chaos.

So it's... unsettling how perfectly normal the cart looks upon Alice's return? There's some chatter going on among the other throng of partygoers and occasionally, a look gets shot at Bryn who's back to happily munching away at the food table with nary a care in the world.

Everything looks normal. What did she do. ]

[ This is like walking in on the scene of a murder mystery where the body has also just mysteriously disappeared...

Alice isn't sure if she wants to question what happened here or just wants to forget the whole deal ever happened. Her curiosity is still strong, even as she grew older and more cynical, so she's actually kind of leaning towards the former.. Which is why she starts to head Bryn's way as she makes her way back into the gym carriage. ]

So, how did the distraction go?

[ The weird calm could mean it either went really well, or really badly.. ]

Everything went perfectly!

[ As if to underline this, Bryn gives her a big ol' thumbs up with the hand that is not currently piling more food onto her plate. ]

Not a single soul noticed you making away from the table. I made sure of that!

[ She looks so proud of herself... ]

[ Alice is so doubtful right now.

On the other hand, even for a big old grump like her it's hard to shoot down a smile like Bryn's when she looks that proud of herself. ]

Good job. [ It's said in a slightly deadpan way, but hey. At least Bryn's still getting praise. There you go. ] At least it doesn't look like you got anyone killed.

[ Bryn just smirks. ]

It would've made for a very good distraction if I had, though, wouldn't it?

[ She lets that hang in the air for a moment, before breaking out into a peal of laughter. ]

I'm kidding! Of course I'm kidding!

[ "of course"... ]

Just so you are aware. If we ever all end up dead in some sort of freakish accident, I will be blaming you.

[ "Of course" Alice is also kidding, yet at the same time.. she sounds oddly serious about it. Mostly since she's willing to believe that if anyone here on this train could cause said freak accident, it'd be Bryn.. Why does this girl have so much wild chaotic energy about her. ]

I hardly think it's fair for me to shoulder the blame entirely. But a disaster big enough to kill all of us... hm, you probably wouldn't be wrong in thinking I had a hand in it somewhere along the line!

[ She... laughs again...

Alignment: Chaotic Chaotic ]

[ Bryn.. you're so good at making Alice feel like the normal one for once in her life. ]

Are you saying you're proud of that fact? [ Since she's laughing!! And yet Alice doesn't seem nearly as offended as one probably ought to be... ]

I wouldn't say I'm proud exactly, but isn't it better for me to be honest about it, rather than trying to pretend it isn't true?

[ at least that way, you get some advance warning... ]

Sure. But if you kill someone and you honestly admit to it, it won't magically bring that person back to life.

[ Listen, she gets that comparison might be a bit of a stretch, since at least some really dumb chaotic incident wouldn't be a direct murder attempt on Bryn's part, but still. People could die! That much is true!

And Alice has just started to relatively 'enjoy' living enough again to not want the train to explode in some horrific incident, thanks. ]

But I don't have any plans to kill anybody. [ Not on the train, at least. ] So that's the last thing you should be worrying about!

[ Not particularly reassuring... ]

And, besides– doesn't the train have some sort of safety feature in place to prevent such a thing? I imagine it would have to, wouldn't it?

[ That might just be the most logical thing Bryn has said in this entire conversation.

Yet Alice seems doubtful. For one since Alice and logic aren't exactly on the best terms, but also just because she has to doubt everything. Including this. ]

Do you really think it cares that much about our safety? Surely they could just use a different train and pull in different people if something happened to this one. I think we are mostly likely seen as disposable.

You really think so?

[ Bryn looks puzzled. ]

I thought quite the opposite. It must've taken quite a bit of effort to organize all this... so, I think it's much more likely that they'd want us to survive in the long term. It'd be much more efficient than having to start from scratch all the time.

That would depend on them going for efficiency to begin with.

[ Which is a logical idea, but then again, is their situation really all that logical? Surely this all could have been organised in better ways if they actually tried.

Not that Alice bothers to think up better ways herself. This is the reality they're stuck with, anyway. ]

This isn't exactly a factory.

It's not, but they do want us to do... something. Don't they? We've been brought here because there's something we can do that whoever arranged all of this can't do without us. So it makes sense that whatever this is, they'd want it done as quickly as possible and without much fuss. I would if it were me, at least!

[ So assuming the person running the train has the same brain worms as Bryn, we're on the right track! ]

[ There's a moment where Alice is quiet. Like she's taking in the thought.

Then she realises that a dumb party with this blaring terrible music is so not the kind of place to use her brains too much at. So she just lets out a sigh and goes for deadpan instead of an actual constructive answer. ]

Just to make sure-- you aren't the person in charge of this train, are you?

[ It's a joke.

But she'd also believe it if it was true, honestly. ]

Oh, of course not! [ dismissive hand wave. ] If I were the person in charge around here, I'd do things very differently.

[ She's not quite waggling her eyebrows at Alice but like... the energy is definitely there. Go on, Alice. Ask her what she'd do differently. You know you want to. ]

[ This feels like she's about to make the biggest mistake of her life. But it's not like even Alice is that bad at social interactions to not understand why the other is wiggling her eyebrows like that..

So she might as well jump straight into the deep end, huh. ]

[ F for Alice. ]

Well!

[ oh lord here we go ]

First of all, I'd make things more fun around here! It's so boring being stuck on the train all the time and the only time we stop are for missions or for hanging around that boring old train station! So, instead of stopping just for missions, I'd arrange things so that every other stop was just leisure time for us to leave the train and have some fun! Don't you think we've earned that, with all the hard work we've been doing on missions?

[ Leisure... time...

If the beach day has proved anything, it's that Alice sucks at leisure. At least she can understand it is a good thing to most people though, so that idea sounds like one of the less wild and bad ones Bryn has had so far.

.. Although. Since it's Bryn.. ]

What exactly would you consider a good place to have fun?
