Really, it was only self-serve at the moment because of reasons already noted. Normally, Sarai didn't mind serving--at least with proper tea. Which--she's not taking at the moment, between cleaning the tea ball and now, getting out a mixing bowl and ingredients for cookies.

"Only sugar cookies for now, I think--and white sugar! Practically tasteless except for sweet! We don't have this at home." Sarai was a bit awed by that, but not in a bad way.

"I'll have to try to get almonds when we stop next," she mused to herself. "Between regular almond cookies, and macarons..." More plans for the larder, yes. But she dimpled over at Hibiki, again, once she finished her assessment.

"So I pass muster, at least a little? That's good!" She chuckled a little, good-naturedly. "I can't say I really plan to do anything terribly exotic, yet--it depends on what's in stores at the moment, but I can always attempt to keep treats around. Like cookies, or pastries of some sort. I'm a fair hand at cappucinos, too, if that interests you at all."

She wanted to find fruit, if she could, as well. If only to make jam, if nothing else. That would keep, if it wasn't possible to freeze it or keep it in the cold chest.
