Peter offers her a small smile with a nod and then before he can stop himself, words just come out of his mouth.
"Like a mouse-squeak-squeak." There's a brief moment of horror that crosses his face because that was quite possibly the stupidest thing he could said.
"Uh... please forget I said that-that was totally lame. Anyway, 1C is just over there." He gestures, trying not to blush at his own social awkwardness. "Uh-..." He pauses and frowns and notices that the name on the door isn't a name at all it's 'unnamed female' and he suddenly understands why she didn't tell him her name and why she didn't know which was her room.
She doesn't have a name. It makes Peter's heart ache just a little because he knows what it implies-he was lucky to have Aunt May and Uncle Ben to take him in, and even the five years he got with his parents-she's likely an orphan and wasn't so lucky. However, being an orphan himself he's well aware that's not a question you just ask someone.
"Uh hey, I know our kind is pretty good at bouncing back from stuff, but uh if you ever need anything, come find me, okay? Just ask for Peter-it's a small place so I'll probably be somewhere nearby and I got pretty good ears-you can just yell if you have to, okay?"
