Taiki finds a smile as well. After all Tidus has gone to an effort to try and cheer both him and Inigo up and Taiki won't make him feel bad by not appreciating that effort.

He nods at Inigo and then stands in position, noting the lights as Tidus hits the shuttlecock towards him.

It's not too fast or too far for him to run towards and hit back. He has played badminton before, back when it was still possible for people to be convinced to pair with him in gym, back before his teachers had given up on forcing terrified school children to face him and let him sit on the sidelines and watch.
