Who: Peter, an unconscious Joss & You?
When: late, late day 27 possibly creeping into day 28.
What: Peter might have had a little too much bourbon. A little.
Warnings: Underaged drinking and also probably an angry Irondad in the comments somewhere.
Peter's had way too much. The room feels like it's spinning a little and his peripheral vision is blurred beyond recognition. He can already tell this is going to end badly. Somehow, he's gotta get Joss back to his bed and then himself back to his bed without running into anyone because he does not want to explain this to anyone or why his plan to stop the ten year old from drink was to drink the whole bottle.
He sucks in breath and scoops up the smaller boy-luckily his strength didn't somehow deplete but man does feel dizzy and wobbly. Which cabin does Joss stay in again? On second thought, maybe he should just take him back to his cabin-he'll get teleported back anyway and there's less of a chance he'll get caught.
He gets the door to the quiet car they'd been drinking open and steps out.

It was probably why he was standing just outside the door to the quiet car, arms folded over his chest and a stern expression on his face.
"...again, Peter?" he asked softly, at least having the decency to keep his voice low.

"Uh... hey? weird runnin' into you here, huh? I gotta-gotta get Joss t'bed. and then maybe me. Maybe." He slurs lightly trying not to give away just how drunk he actually is. Although the flushed cheeks and cloudy look in his eyes are probably a dead giveaway.

Come Morning Light:
He winces against the light and curls up again-deciding that he's not going to classes or whatever today because today already sucked.
Except.
Five minutes back into blissful sleep he's yanked out of it by a very jarring knock on the door. Why's it so loud? He grits his teeth and tries to just ignore it but it's not going away and he very carefully gets out of bed and opens the door.
There's immediate regret and he immediately tries to just close it again. He can deal with the consequences later.

‘“‘M sorry,” he mumbles, eyes downcast (partly out of shame and partly because the light hurts his eyes).

"Don't be like that. I brought aspirin and hot chocolate."
I guess somewhere on the journey back?
She was out and about of course. Her nightly wanderings were getting shorter honestly, as she became used to the sleeping pattern the other passengers used. But she still wandered for a few hours each night, enjoying the relative quiet. There were always people around, but less than usual.
Which was good on an ever more busy train.
She's not surprised to see Peter. He is often awake at odd hours. But she smells the alcohol and notices Joss and wrinkles her nose. "What did you be doing?"
no subject
"Oh... why did I do that?" He questions, trying to keep the sensory overload to a minimum.

"...I'm also-I kinda drank some too.." He admits.
no subject
Because that will only end in yelling.
no subject
"Dunno man." He sits next to him and passes him the hot chocolate. "Why does anyone drink? Am guessing it's because life is crap."
no subject
"God, Mr Stark is gonna kill me. Do me a favor, if he asks you have no idea where I am but I'm definitely not laying in bed and miserable." Even though that's exactly where he is. He can't deny that life is crap-his is especially bad but it's never made him want to drink before. Uncle Ben would be so disappointed in him right now.

"Uh... do you know where Joss's bed is? I can't remember." He asks, trying to think which cabin the smaller boy is in. Or Should I just like... leave him in mine?"
no subject
He points out, sitting next to him.
"I can do that. But you realise he'll find you eventually."
no subject
"We will be getting him to bed and then getting you to bed, you can be dealing with trouble in the morning."
She spoke patiently, as if Peter was all of a sudden the younger.
no subject
"Everything is so loud." He whispers, hands still covering his eyes.

"Pffft. I"m not goin' to bed, Buttercup-I'm hiding in the dressing car and playing 'monz."
no subject
"I can keep him away for a while, yeah."
no subject
"You do be having two choices, be going and sleeping in your bed, or playing 'monz in your bed." She has no idea what that is, but sure. "Where mister Stark can no even be getting in without a ticket. Or you can be going to your dressing car which do be being a rubbish hiding place, because everyone do be knowing where it is. And be being caught and grounded."
She's aware he's drunk. But even so.
no subject
"Luckily-thanks to my healing thing it shouldn't be too long before the headache goes away." But it is way more intense thanks to his enhanced senses. "Remind me never to drink again-I mean-that's only if Mr Stark doesn't just... you know, kill me."
no subject
"D'you think I'll ever see him again?" He should be more focused on the sleeping six hundred something year old kid but his mind is very suddenly on Uncle Ben. "I wish you could meet him-I keep hoping he'll turn up."
no subject
"Might ground you for the next month though."

And if he could come here... if the dead could come here? She frowned, banishing the thought back into the darkness of her mind where such thought belonged.
It was much easier when the dead remained dead.
"Maybe it do be being better he do no be being here now, it do be being one less person to be being scrunch faced mad at you."

"I just miss him so much, you know? It actually kinda hurts every time new people day comes and he's not there. And now May's missing and I'm-I'm just so tired of everyone leaving." He sniffles a little, wiping his eyes with the palm of his hand. "I tell people that I'm used to it but I don't think that's possible-I feel like I lose parts of my soul every time I lose someone else." He confesses and sniffle again before letting out a pathetic laugh.
"But hey, that's life in the Parker Family. You probably have more to worry about, huh?" He swallows and sucks in a breath to try and regain composure. "You ever wonder what your parents would've been like?"

The words, he missed his uncle. It hurt because he wasn't here. That was a normal feeling? To miss someone so much it hurt? Well. At least she is normal. But he is sad about people leaving, sad about everything.
She's reminded about a time, a year ago, maybe a bit more now. When Taiwin had come back off a job, far too late and far too drunk. They had hidden him. He was a stupid face but if he got punished he would be in a terrible mood forever. He had been loose with his words, just like Peter now. Talking about regrets, his voice laced with a pain she hadn't understood.
Still didn't understand. All three of them had separately and silently decided to never speak of that night again. But she is reminded now.
"No." She shook her head. "I did no never be thinking about it." She's still not convinced she ever had any. She's heard too munch about places where things don't work like in Peter's world. What if she grew on a tree? What if she was made like a clone? "You can no be sitting here Peter."

Kaito's own parents are a bit of an anomaly, but then again, most people don't have internationally wanted criminals as parents, so he's using Nakamori as his yardstick. He's normal, right?
