This was not going to go well, because Gerome didn't know where to begin. He didn't know what questions to ask. What was practical? What were things he needed to know now over things that could wait until later?
He closed his eyes and gave a heavy sigh.
"A question like that is like asking exactly how many stars there are in the sky. I can not begin to answer it." A small shake of his head and then Gerome leaned forward just a little. "Nothing here makes sense. Picking one thing out of many is an impossible task when I am sat here..." The questions he had tended to arise when he was faced with them directly, after all.
Though he supposed he could ask the overarching question that covered everything.
"But if I must... Why am I here?" Why were any of them there. Inigo had tried to explain but Gerome still didn't understand that point.
