"My sister would say that 'fate' is just an excuse to make people do what they're told, and not ask questions."

"But, if it is anything like my experience just being a wizard, or being a person... if you have the tools to help, if you know there is something happening and no one else seems to... you feel a responsibility to do something about it, or you've just wasted those tools and knowledge.

"And wasting opportunity is one of the worst things you can do."

Being a wizard meant standing against waste, apathy, atrophy... entropy.
