"It is weird," he nodded in agreement. He sort of regretted moving his head like that though. She was so cute. He liked how she was clearly getting into his head scratches and petting down her mane. He really needed to introduce this thing to his kids. He sort of missed the next few sentences before realizing the boy was talking. It was hard to keep up with all of it.

He breathed a small laugh. "It's alright." He opened his mouth to say more in Japanese, which he knew well, but he couldn't quite bring any words to mind. It was disturbing that he couldn't remember. What were they talking about again?
