Open-Log--less talk, more action? With Prompts and OTA [Month of Horseshoe]

Trunks had finally found his cabin, and met his room-mates. One of whom was a book. With very odd ideas, that had Trunks raising an eyebrow at it. (He didn't really do well with 'overlords' okay?) After that it had been investigating his rucksack--and he had his capsule case. With his mini-fridge (yay), but two capsules of clothes (his armor and his normal stuff) otherwise. WHERE WAS THE TIME MACHINE?!?!?!

Still, not much he could do now. Besides, he had a whole train to explore. Along with a spar--and Cassie had said she'd usually be in the gym car. Come to think of it, Trunks would probably be spending a lot of time in the gym car himself. So, time to explore his new 'home'.

Cassie smiles. "Yeah, we should."

A pause as they reach the door to Cabin 3-D.

"Could maybe take me up on that cinema booking, too. I've been thinking of screening Ninja Mime 3."

"Going to a movie instead of watching it at home would be nice for a change." Trunks agreed, pausing and then crouching to make it easier for her to slide off his back. "There are lots of things that are 'normal' that I never got to do."

"Not entirely no, although I've had to practice and study on my own quite a bit. I had a master, who had a master too--I just don't think he was connected to any 1 school."

"Well, this isn't exactly a normal place to do it," Cassie says, "but I'd be happy to show you some of those things."

Cassie starts to lower herself off of Trunks's back in preparation for the handful of steps from the door to her (thankfully lower) bunk.

"I'm glad, that for all you went through, you got to have some normalcy too it sounds like." Trunks meant that too, genuinely. He was glad that Cassie'd gotten some semblance of normal life, for all the shit she'd been through.

Keeping her arm around his shoulder though, supporting her until she was ready to stand on her own. "I'm used to not-normal being normal, so that sounds great."

"As normal as it gets growing up in Hollywood, at least," Cassie says.

She stands with a hand propped against the door and one arm draped around Trunks. The arm stays there for just slightly longer than strictly necessary.

"But I figure it's the least I can do after the ride home you just gave me."

"That makes more sense in line with what I know." He smiled, pleased to have figured out the mystery. Not that he knew a lot, but he knew that much. He should probably apologize for interrupting, but he wasn't the type.

"My fault for you needing that ride, just as much as yours, right?" Trunks ducked his head a bit, trying not to blush. Why would he blush NOW?

"Find a lot of things that don't fall in with what you know here on the train?" Trunks asked, not really meaning to be flippant.

"That's true," Cassie says. "Have to get you back for it next time."

She winks.

"Night, Trunks."

"Not as much as you'd think, but then again, I'm a walking scientific encyclopedia." Senku responded in a tone that was just as flippant, but he wasn't meaning it to be either.

Yep, there's that blush again--thankfully mild. "Looking forward to it. Night Cassie, sleep well." Trunks murmured a bit shyly.

Was there a point to this?

"In any case, sorry I don't have any school information to give you." Trunks would soon go back to his katas.

None whatsoever, really, he'd just been curious. With his curiosity satisfied, he moved to leave.

"Don't worry about it, I'm not a fighter."

[ Working on a bit of training herself, Kitty glances up after a practice set and notices him. ]

Hey! How've you been settling in?

[He'd just walked in, but wasn't expecting to see someone he knew--which might be stupid because he knew at least one person who frequented this car besides himself.]

Hi!

[It's with a smile and friendly wave.]

I tend to be good at adapting so, so far it's going well. How're you?

That's good. [ Then she smiles playfully. ] You were able to find this car, at least, so that's something.

I'm doing okay. Mostly just trying to keep busy, I guess.

[Trunks chuckles.]

Kind of hard to get lost in a straight line, and a friend told me about this car. Kind of met up later here so I could work out some nerves with a spar. It helped.

"Oh, that's quite good," Glorfindel said, watching the precision shots. "I've just developed something similar, but the results are quite different. I'd show you, but, it's not as controllable as yours are, yet." He laughed. "I imagine you've been doing this a while?"

"I had to learn how to control my ki young." Trunks replied in a matter of fact tone. "I also had a really good teacher. There's only so much that can be done here though, so I'm trying to refine things I do know."

Head tilting, Trunks smiled slightly. "How destructive is yours, because I'd enjoy seeing it."

Chie knows she's going to be spending a lot of time in the gym too, so it's only natural she'd swing by to check it out as soon as possible. She gives Trunks a nod as she steals a dummy to practice her kicks on, but it isn't until he moves to the second portion of his routine that she really takes notice. And take notice she does.

"Oh my god," she pipes up immediately, unable to keep her excitement in. "Are those ki blasts? Like, real for real ki blasts?!" She wouldn't normally interrupt someone's training like this, but come on! This is like... anime or action movie stuff in real life!

Trunks isn't too worried about his aim generally, but he is trying to do more with less, for ki-blasts. Less energy, for a better blast--but also he's attempting to see if he can arc or direct blasts. Which is when he'd dragged out some dummies and moved to a far corner of the gym just in case.

It's a good thing he's experienced too because otherwise that interrupting shout might cause problems. He turns slightly, a small ball of ki in his hand as he'd been readying another shot. "...uh...yes?" Because really, how do you deal with this reaction?

Sonya..might've pushed herself too hard the past day or two. Much as she would've liked to think otherwise, the fact remained that while her body was fast to recover from injury, three months out of training wasn't too easy to bounce back to.

This wasn't her first serious recovery, however. So instead of letting it out on the training dummies, she focused on gaining back her flexibility and some degree of leg strength on the climbing frames.

She was taking a break when the young man entered the car, stretching herself out to try and ease the ache that seemed a near constant by now.

Even if he wasn't looking for someone--and this time Trunks wasn't--it was prudent also to see who else might be in the gym. The climbing equipment was out and while he didn't need climbing help, Trunks was pondering if it'd be useful for flying-drills. The blonde hair though had him blinking, then blinking again.

Not Cassie, which is whom he'd thought it might be at first.

"Holy crap, that is so cool! Aah!" Chie can't help but bounce on her tiptoes for a couple seconds, too excited for words. At least she seems to understand that her reaction is a bit off-putting, because she goes on to explain herself.

"On my Earth, people just can't do that kinda thing in real life. You only see it in stories, like action anime, you know? So getting to see it for real, in person, is just..." She gestures wildly at the ball of ki still in Trunks' hand. "...so awesome."
