Zechs' expression doesn't change, but internally? Tidus apparently trusted too much. Sure - there were probably a lot of kind, trustworthy people. Apparently this man was one of them, unless he was fooling Zechs exceptionally well.

But others, surely were not. Zechs was not someone who should be included with those 'good people', or at least, he didn't think so.
