Hearing Adam respond is the first thing that's felt right in three months. It's a simple, easy thing that he doesn't have to fight and figure out or come to terms with because it just is. The part of him that's afraid he's dreamed this into being too is still there, but the weight of Adam's hand in his is real and that's something to focus on instead.
