Tidus feels something beside him, for sure. He knows the use of an Arms Band well by now, but he knows this is--more than that. A more that has him wanting to open his eyes and see, but he does the opposite, scrunching them, doing his best to behave when that's not what he wants to be doing.
Everything darkens slightly on the other side of his eyelids. Then finally, the permission is given, and Tidus opens them up; the haze of colours adjusting into their lines, given definition--
a thing of a crown, attached ... hovering above the head of a creature staring up at him in some kind of awe or wonder. Tidus recognises it as one of those creatures that Roland has, but he's taken aback, surprised. 'It's yours, now. If you'll allow it.' Its tiny cry, Tidus parts his mouth in his search for anything to say.
"I... uh... me?" He doesn't look away from the creature, his surprise not receding. What should he do? What should he say? He's never had a pet before! Is it bad to think about it as a pet?
"What's uh... ...up?" he asks the little guy. ... then, quickly to Roland, voice hushed, "What do I do?"
