We only know that because we came just shy of dealing with them ourselves, a few months back. We were given a mission with vague parameters, trying to help a kingdom evacuate from some sort of threat, only to be yanked out of the world by the train itself, when those strange shadows appeared in the sky.
... I don't think that world exists anymore, either.
