He doesn't hesitate. The moment he feels that hand on his shoulder, so familiar at this point that Inigo doesn't even have to look to know who it is, he's already moving, turning, practically launching himself right at Roland's chest. His hands cling to the other's back like Roland is walking away as well here - the kind of desperation to try and keep the other in place here, no matter what.
Because Inigo knows. He knew even as Gerome promised he wouldn't leave him. No matter how naive he may seem at times, Inigo is well aware that promises don't mean a thing here. That anyone could disappear at any moment, regardless of intent. He could wake up one morning, or go around a corner, or try to find the other working somewhere, only for Roland to be gone.
He doesn't want it. He wants to stop losing people. There's only so much loss one soul can bear, and right now it's spilling over, making him sob heavily as he clings to Roland. There's something almost unashamed about just how much he cries. How hard. He knows it's not fair, that Roland already had to deal with Tidus during the last platform and shouldn't have to spend this one attending to yet another teen-- but Inigo can't stop it. The tears are so thick that they threaten to choke him as he weeps.
"Please.." He only manages to choke out this much between the hics. "M-Make it stop.."
He knows Roland can't. He knows they're all as powerless as each other in this situation.
But Roland is his father. And if there's any childish instinct Inigo has never quite managed to shrug off, it's the desire to be able to hide behind a parent, or for said parent to come and solve everything when everything feels too hard.
