At least that last statement manages to get a laugh out of him. Sure, the laughing sounds like half of a sob at the same time, but it's a laugh all the same. It's just a nice reminder. Even though it hurts so much right now, there are still people who care. Samata would still fight someone for him.

Inigo moves a hand to rub at his face, trying to get rid of the tears. After all, Samata is right.

"I.. I like to try and be a positive person." He actively puts effort into it, which is why it's so good to hear that it's paying off. "I've always just wanted to make the people around me smile, no matter the circumstances.. But.." Inigo stops, quickly shaking his head. "I-- I guess it's a little harder when I have to do it for myself."

Cheering up other people isn't hard. It comes naturally to him. Hugs, kind words - they flow without thinking for just about anyone, no matter how little or much he knows them. But it's so hard to be that nice to himself, especially when he could use it, like right now.
