At least that last part makes him smile a little. Mostly since he's glad that his harassment isn't a bother to Roland. Sure, he knows it's better for Roland in the long run to have someone to drag him around into actually taking care of himself, but that doesn't mean it couldn't just get annoying to the guy. And since Inigo never got to do that to his own father, who was usually just a little too far away, and he had been a little bit too young.. he doesn't have experience with it.

But that's not what he's thinking on too much here. No, it's instead Roland's other words that draw his attention. I wanted you to know that you're not alone.

It feels like there's something he should admit to the other, but as usually, he hesitates. Just like Roland said, Inigo wants to make others smile, not worry. But Roland did tell him to rely on others, and maybe it would be better if someone as close to him as Roland is would know this much..

It's a struggle. What makes Inigo decide on what to do in the end is Jumblie, who turns back into a single bigger higgledy, jumping up and down on his lap and chittering away in his mind.

Young traveler, dear new friend! Sharing your sorrow lightens it, leaving room for happiness! Shared sorrow will turn into shared smiles eventually!

"I guess I.. do worry about that sometimes." He's trying to downplay it, but at least Inigo is actually saying it, rather than keeping to himself. "That I will end up all alone."

Because so many important people have left his life already. Because it feels like everyone keeps leaving. And what if one day it's Roland? Or Tidus, or anymore of his close friends here on the train--

"Sometimes I have nightmares where everyone is gone. Where it's just me on the train." Terrifying nightmares that leave him in tears when he wakes up from them. ".. Guess it would be kind of hard to spread smiles like that."
