And even though I was a soldier, I was still naive about the actions and behaviors of individual people." Trowa shrugged a little and offered the girl a half smile. "But that was different than this. The people you've lost aren't gone because of an action that you took or a risk you put them in. Perhaps they're gone because the train no longer needs them. And you can choose to believe that they've returned safely to their homes, and you won't have to worry if you're right or wrong. I think that's a powerful thing."
