If this was Tidus explaining this to him, Inigo would 100% assume that Tidus was trying to play some dumb prank on him. There'd be no doubt in his mind. This can't be some actual way to train, right? It looks ridiculous!

But it's not Tidus telling him about it. It's Roland. And sure, sure, even Roland can tease at times, but he'd never tell Inigo to do anything that'd make him look ridiculous as a prank...
