How to take the stiff out of an old guy, huh? Tidus sees it, understands it, even if he's sure it's not something he's seen before: a man having to deal with their habits, what they know and trying to break out of it, but not knowing what that is or means. Auron wasn't that kind of guy. Or was he? His memories of that particular stiff always a blur with time, of grumpy moods and proving himself better than whatever the man was thinking behind those shades.

So that even when his smile lacks that genuine quality Tidus knows he's seen on the man before, he doesn't take it to heart. Doesn't think to push a second time, accepting the answers they're given.

"I get it. You'll go away and sort out all these congested feelings you're experiencing in private." Said with all the youthful sass that's required of a man experiencing emotional diarrhoea. "But hey, right model or wrong, long as you two can put it together, that's the fun part! And talking about how much cooler the robots you grew up with were compared to this."
