For once, he won't rely on that and will trust that he knows they're there when he recognizes the distinct lack of hallway and ghosts roaming about. They've been there enough times for him to know when to stop opening doors.

Maybe the song Tidus picks out really isn't so bad at all. It's definitely getting him pumped up, whether or not it was an intentional choice. Though Roland's assessment is, indeed, correct: the car in question is nearby.
