flatteries: (and if you close your eyes)

Inigo listens to both their points, trying to comprehend them. He gets what they're saying, really, but it's so hard to concretly imagine it. This life on the train has been his first brush with anything relatively modern, after all, so he can't even imagine what life must be like in Aremica, in Zanarkand. Machines helping with health, with learning? How even?

It's not too often that he's reminded of just how big the gap between them is. It's easy to forget it sometimes when they're all messing around, when they're interacting so naturally here on the train that it feels like they all came from the same place. But now, somewhere between Tidus's campaign for machines and Roland acting as if regular handiwork - while deemed important - is something fairly rare now..

.. it's a little awkward.

Hence why Tidus's look at the end of is met with no similar eagerness from Inigo, who instead just shyly ducks his head as his head fills up with various thoughts.

"If you say so. I mean, I wouldn't know." It's weirdly avoidant in a way Inigo either can't or doesn't bother to hide.
