Roland grows just a tad bit quieter too, not necessarily because he disagrees with Tidus, but...it's quite the contrary. His smile looks as if he is remembering something, somewhere else, his hands growing still and nodding in intent listening.

"No, you're right. I didn't mean to discount it." A beat, and then - "Especially when you talk about machines and technology and what they can do for healthcare. In my world, we've saved lots of lives from sicknesses because of that. So I'm always grateful."

He ends that thought there, too sore of a point to delve into, especially when the mood is shifting and he feels that Inigo might not completely understand the nuances between the two of them yet. Roland chuckles and a hand goes up to ruffle Inigo's hair, his face leaning in close, almost cheek to cheek.
