Gen was very, very flustered, so Xue was in for a treat. He blushed, a lot, because he felt cornered, he felt like he was on dangerous ground. Was he so transparent? Surely there's nothing that Senku did that prompted this line of questioning. Gen must've done something blatantly obvious, so even someone like Xue - who had spoken with Gen once - had heard some kind of rumor and -

- and it didn't matter. He took a breath in and out, tried to will his blushing away. Gen couldn't act like he was some ridiculous teenager about this. It probably only served to ... was Xue amused? At his expense? That's fair. So long as he wasn't making fun of Senku.

He took another deep breath, and fixed him with a look. "My opinion, I think this is what you're getting at, my dear, has nothing to do with Senku-chan."

"Plenty of people have no interest in sex," Gen told him, calm and matter of fact. "It's been stigmatized in the past, and it's often misunderstood. Frequently they're made fun of, or belittled, or called childish or less then masculine. Or betraying some feminine thing if they're women. It's all pretty ridiculous. Some people aren't interested in sex, and some people aren't interested in romance, and some people fall under both categories. Senku isn't interested in either, and that isn't our business."

His eyes narrowed at Xue. "And a person's preferences shouldn't be a source of another's amusement. You do respect Senku-chan, don't you, Xue?"
