Bright and early, Ichigo came to the medical car. He had a large thermos of coffee, and Shiro had a cardboard box with some cat toys to keep him busy. He'd even managed to get some of his pens back from Grimmjow. Setting up a stack of file folders, he opened the door to the first exam room and got ready.

"Good morning! Here for your check up?"

"Didn't you say your parents are ghost hunters? And thankfully I don't have to leave my body lying around back home. I have what's called a modsoul who can take care of my body for me." When Kon wasn't causing absolute chaos, of course.

"That means you do or you don't eat eggs and dairy?" Ichigo wasn't up on all the terminology of vegetarians, mostly because he hadn't met anyone before who was fully vegetarian.

The octopus hopped up and down with delight. "Of course! It would be really bad for us if we couldn't drink. We need that to survive!"

The importance was in moderation. She didn't need a lot, but she did need some.

"Ghost hunters,ghost scientists, anti-ghost weapon inventors. They still haven't figured why a lot of their anti-ghost tech goes off when I'm around."

"So moderation is key, huh? I can see how that would make sense, even humans can die from too much water. Though water intoxication isn't usually a problem." He'd only read about it in his textbooks, and even his father had never encountered any cases of it.

Ichigo winced in sympathy. "Somehow, I gotta figure out a way for you to be able to get a distress signal to me when you get back home. That sounds way too dangerous of a situation to leave you in." He genuinely worried about the teen and what his parents would do.

"It isn't actually that bad? They're good parents. They just really hate ghosts." Danny offers this with a wince.He knew that wasn't much of a defense.

"And I'm mostly sure they wouldn't go through with the whole 'tear the ghost boy apart molecule by molecule and experiment on the remains' plan if they knew who I was?"

The octopus hopped up and down in played up irritation. "Weren't you going to test my reflexes?"

"The fact that you're not completely sure is what worries me." Ichigo frowned and put the end of the stethoscope to Danny's chest.

"Yes, yes I was." Ichigo laughed and grabbed the mallet. He chose one tentacle at random to start with, and tapped on it at different points up the length from her body out toward the tip.

"I do. Ovo-lacto vegetarians mean they make an exception for eggs and dairy. There are also pescatarians, who eat seafood, but I'm not really big on fish, honestly."

The center of Danny's chest was ice cold. There was no heartbeat, and the sound of his lungs had an odd way of disappearing whenever he wasn't actually taking a breath.

"...Okay, I guess that sounded bad. But, I mean, I don't think they'd try to actually experiment on me or shoot at me any more if they knew who I was?" Danny pauses awkwardly. "But... I'm kind of worried they'd think I was possessed by a ghost, or that they would try to cure me."

And he already knew that there was nothing to cure. But if they tried, and managed to rip the ghost out of him.....

He already knew how that ended. And how that could never be allowed to happen.

"You're the doctor in training, so sure." Trunks agreed, waiting for further instructions, although he did know that his blood pressure would be taken probably via a cuff around his arm. Holding out his left one, to make it easier.

"When it's done right, fish is wonderful. But it's challenging, and depending on the fish, easy to mess up." Ichigo smiled and finished his notes on Kitty. "Well, it looks like you have a clean bill of health so far."

Ichigo was honestly not shocked that Danny had no heartbeat in his ghost form. "The fact that you're concerned they would hurt you at all is disconcerting to me. I mean, I might not have a lot of room to talk, my own father routinely attacks me. But he's not intending to cause harm. He does it to train me so I have stronger reflexes."

Putting the cuff on Trunks' arm, Ichigo took the young man's blood pressure. "Well, seems like the numbers are pretty standard for a human of your age and general health, even if you are only half human."

"That's reassuring." Trunks murmured. His state of 'general health' was extremely fit, if looking at his build was anything to go buy. Definitely athletic. "Do you want me to sit, or stand, while you check my lungs and heart?"

"Just sit up straight and breathe normally." Ichigo rubbed the bell of the stethoscope over his palm to warm it up before sticking his hand up the back of Trunks' shirt.

"I'll keep that in mind." By which she meant that she definitely still wouldn't be eating fish.

With his assessment, she grinned. "Awesome, thanks. Anything else, doc?"

She knew he wasn't a doctor yet, but it felt right.

Danny shrugs, feeling a little awkward at the direction the conversation had taken. This wasn't something he talked about a lot.

"I don't like getting shot at or hearing them talk about the best way to experiment on me. But I guess I feel like I can't really blame them? They might think that Danny Phantom is a monster, but they also think that they're protecting humans from me." A grimace. "And its not like they're the only ones. My ex-girlfriend broke up with me so that she could protect me from me."

Trunks was in the train uniform, and while he would've appreciated some warning....oh well. As it is, he tried to not feel awkward, and to remember to just breathe normally. "Please warn me next time, Ichigo?"

After making a few final notes in her file, Ichigo shook his head with a smile. "Nope, you are good to go. If you feel unwell or get hurt, you know how to find us."

"That tickles!" Feeling a bit playful, the octokid lupt up at Ichigo's chest.

Sighing heavily, Ichigo just ruffled Danny's hair. "You know, you just keep staying at the top of my list of people who's worlds I need to go to so I can smack common sense into their guardians." It was a short list, containing Danny and Kitty, but that was beside the point. "They think your ghost form is scary? Shit, I can make you look friendly as a puppy."

"Ah, sorry about that." Ichigo smiled a little at Trunks, but nodded at the request. "I'll be sure to remember to warn you in the future."
