The world went dark. The void disappeared from her sight. The voices were still there but the darkness, it broke her out of her staring, broke through the desire to do nothing but stare.

She felt a moment of relief. Then panic. Because someone had just thrown a blanket over her head, the world was dark. She twisted, lunging out to fight whoever was trying to kidnap her, scrambling to try and get the blanket off and fight past her assailant.
