What: Ken follows up on a mishap he suffered his first day here. Wormmon trains so this will never happen again.
Warnings: Reference to puncture wounds. Soccer player without a shirt on. Bug.

[ I. Medical Carriage ]

Those entering the medical carriage: be warned. Ichijouji Ken is not wearing his shirt.

He's folding it quite conscientiously, instead, setting it aside, and then turning to the supplies he has laid out on a table. Antibacterial salve, bandages, gloves....Wormmon had seen to a problem Ken'd picked up on the platform before infection could set in, but Sticky Net can only do so much. So Ken washes his hands, puts the gloves on for good measure, and carefully peels away the webbing slapped tightly to his solar plexus, revealing a gash beneath.

The sort someone might get if they, say, upset a particularly large cat.

Aside from this issue, though, he looks to be in the peak of fitness: he's a skinny nerd, yeah, but he's a skinny nerd held together by taut muscle. Nobody's going to mistake him for a bodybuilder, but he has been playing soccer for years. This involves a certain amount of training, and its results.

Picking up the salve, Ken eyes his wound. He thinks it's healing well, but...

"Itching is...expected, correct...?"

[ II. Gym Carriage ]

Wormmon had been very upset when Ken-chan had been hurt. It is, in his opinion, the WORST THING to have happened on the train (never mind that it happened before they got on the train). He must train, on the train, to be sure he will be able to prevent anyone from hurting Ken-chan in the future!

Thus, while Ken-chan takes care of the parts that might involve looking at dried bl....dr....While Ken-chan checks up on himself, though Wormmon is worried, he is more determined to be productive! And therefore he is in the gym car.

Crawling across the length of the car, up the wall, across the ceiling, and down again. Over, and over, and over, and over, in a loop. A very.

Slow.

Loop.

This bug does not have speed on his side. But he's puffing with exertion, determined to do as many laps as possible! He's going to make Ken-chan proud of him!!!

....And he's also crawling right in the middle of the car, so if anyone comes in:

"Oh, scuse me."

They will be greeted by a voice from over their heads.

Ever the picture of tact, Waver's eyebrows shot up as he was successfully distracted from whatever he'd been doing.

"Are you alright?"

Gym Carriage

After recent events, Takato and Guilmon were still sticking close together. Right now that meant that they were both standing in the gym and watching Wormmon's exercise routine. Guilmon was curious, because that looked fun.

"Is that a new game, Wormmon?"

Meanwhile Takato was a little concerned. This was the first time he'd seen Wormmon without his partner nearby.

"Is Ichijouji-san okay?"

Xion had slept a while after Axel had brought her back to their cabin finally. She wanted to sleep more but...

Once she was awake she realized she was missing pages from her notebook. So she had to start her list all over again with a new notebook. She was going from car to car making a list of what each car was named, since her last list was missing.

Seeing him injured, she didn't stop to think. She wanted to hide, but...

Her Keyblade came to her hand and she lifted it towards the ceiling. "Curaga!" she said, her voice strong as it was only when she was using her Keyblade or alone with her friends.

Green light spilled out around her Keyblade hitting him, restoring his HP. So you know, healing him. Her Keyblade vanished as she dropped her hand. And then realized she called attention to herself. So... she might now be backing away slowly, hoping he'd be too buys noticing he wasn't hurt to notice who had caused that.

This was the kind of trouble that made it appealing to just stay in her bunk all the time...

(OOC: her hood is still hiding her face, but the icon is one of the few of her holding the blade straight up, so....)

Taiki didn't enter the gym very often, but he was looking for his friends. Any of them really, the gym was one of the places they were likely to be found.

No one is here today though, or at least he thinks so, until he hears the voice and startles slightly, looking around and up with wide eyes.

Eyes that soften the moment he sees the bug. "Oh sorry... I didn't meant to interupt."

Ah....Professor.

"Please don't worry," he informs the man, because somehow nineteen years of life have not taught him that nobody ever stops worrying when told not to. "It's healing."

And it is. No discoloration. That's a good sign.

(Wormmon is a better partner than even he realizes. Sticky Net is digital, not biological. It doesn't let germs through.)

"I'm doing strength training!"

Wormmon picks up the pace to show off for Guilmon and Takato. The change in speed is...barely noticeable.

"To protect Ken-chan, I have to become a tough Digimon! Then nobody will ever hurt him again!"

That long coat - Xion-chan?

Ken barely has a moment to wonder what's happening when the light flashes, flows to him, and something...shifts. He looks down. The wound is gone.

Sorry, Xion, you were definitely noticed. Ken's eyes seek hers - or, if not hers, at least the shadow within her hood.

"You..."

"It's okay. I can dodge you."

Then it will be agility training and not just strength training! Ken-chan will be so proud, won't he?

First, however, Wormmon would have to be in a position to do any dodging, and that might take a while. Huff puff towards the wall.

And then....down we go. Scrunch by scrunch.

"There's a lot of - room!"

She froze. As if that somehow meant that he would forget that she was there. Or think he had imagined her. Had there been deep enough shadows, maybe she would have had a shot. But in the doorway of the medical car? Not a shot. But when someone started that way... they were usually angry...

"You should know by now it's a little late for that."

Prickly as he might have been, Waver was definitely still going to worry.

"You want some help?"

[Guilmon thinks this sounds very impressive.]

There's a special kind of training to get strong? Guilmon wants to try it too!

[But he was also confused.

Meanwhile Takato had caught on to something that worried him a little.]

Someone hurt him? Is he okay?

"Ah...." Ken looks down at the supplies laid out before him. He's fairly certain that he could manage this himself, but he also knows that an unrelated pair of hands would do a better job. The only thing he'd be saving is his pride.

And that has never gotten him anywhere.

"If it's not an imposition."

Any other possible kind of help has, it seemed, not occurred to him.

"If it was, I wouldn't have offered."

He sighed, setting the cane aside and pulling on the gloves.

"...You have any experience with healing magic? I'm guessing 'no', but I might as well ask."

He says so.

[ Guilmon, the training to get strong does not seem hard. Here, follow Wormmon! He is going to crawl across the floor now! ]

We met a mean person. Ken-chan tried to help her and she didn't like it.

[ Wormmon puffs up his face just thinking about this. ]

He'll probably try again if we see her. So I have to be ready!

If this was a human, Taiki would have probably made his apology and left by now. But the talking bug creature fascinates him so he moves over to the wall with a gentle smile.

"There is. It's a big gym..."

He was just passing through, with others on board to focus on dealing with medical issues, he didn't have to. He blinked at the question and turned his attention to Ken.

"Itching, yes, it's usually a sign of healing." He answered. "Redness, heat and increased pain are signs of infection."

Senku will just invite himself to come over. "Do you want me to take a look?"

What was that strange noise above him? He couldn't help but tilt his head back to look.

Then, of course there was the voice, but all he could see was a bug.

Natsuno was confused enough to glance around the gym instinctively, although he would be able to hear if someone else was there.

Ken gestures to his torso, now completely unblemished. "This....you did that, didn't you? You healed me."

Why?

But that's not the most important to say, is it. Ken smiles.

"Thank you."

Healing magic....? The Professor's world has magic even of that nature. In some ways, that's nice to know.

As is that the Professor would do that for him.

"I'm sorry." That's a no, yep. "Is there anything I should do?"

Now that they have determined to do this, Ken will be an obliging patient.

"I'm training to get stronger!"

It sure is arduous. Look at him, breath coming in little spurts. Worming his wormy way across the great big gym car.

"This is my fourth lap. Is that impressive?"

If it's not, he will just have to keep going and going! Until Ken-chan will be able to hear about how hard he worked and be happy!

Oh, Senku. Chances are, given the circumstances in his world, he'd be knowledgeable, wouldn't he?

Ken turns so his fellow nerd passenger can get a better view. "...If you don't mind."

This sure is a puncture wound! Somebody has sliced into this boy - more out of spite than an intent to do lasting harm. And from how far it's along in the healing process, this happened before the ghosts showed up.

Nobuggy else is here! Just Natsuno and the bug! Who continues his travail across the ceiling, though that glancing about makes him nervous.

"...What is it?"

The ghosts are gone, right? The ghosts that Wormmon cannot see are gone. He has not left Ken-chan in danger.

The bug on the ceiling has started to quiver.

"Are you...speaking to me?" Natsuno asked with a blink.

He'd seen some things, really he had, but this was a bit beyond strange.

He would be knowledgeable, he was essentially the only doctor they had so he had more than enough hands on experience, especially in things like puncture wounds, after all, they were using spears and there were accidents.

He turned his intense gaze on the injury, and it wasn't open so he probed the edge of it lightly.

"You're fine, just use the ointment, it'll heal."

His bedside manner, however, was terrible, but that's what happened when you had someone who wasn't passionate about medicine as a doctor.

"Mm."

The upside-down bug pauses to nod, antennae waving. "I'm Wormmon! Nice to meet you."

People on the train aren't (usually) scary. So Wormmon will be brave and hold a conversation even without Ken-chan.
