What a terrible thing to believe in, especially in one who seemed so young. Roland's eyes are kinder when he takes Yoite in. But he is in no place to say otherwise, knowing everyone on this train held stories of different kinds. Whether or not Yoite means it, or what actually forced his hand to kill his mother and others...Roland can only take it for what it is and hope he doesn't experience anything worse while he is onboard.

"...I see. Well," he trails off, not because he doesn't know what to say but because he is trying to say it in a way that doesn't seem too presumptuous. "I've only spent maybe this past half hour with you so far, but I know I'm not complaining about you being here." Roland smiles, encouragingly. "So you're welcome to come back up here if you want to, for this and whatever else you might need to take your mind off things."

The coffee, maybe tea next time? Solace is sometimes the only answer to the hardest questions. And it's all men like Roland can offer. He hopes it's enough.
