Wei Wuxian slumped down onto the bench and laid his head on the table. "This is a catastrophe," he declared, slightly muffled by his position. "I've recovered from the battle, gotten all cleaned up, and I am out of wine."

He gave a heartfelt sigh before turning his head. "How are you doing? You weren't injured, were you?"

"Oh, then I'd better not put one in my pouch either. I think the Arms Band works similarly," he said, pulling out his flute, then putting it back.

"I have noticed that most people on this train have unrefined palates," he said sadly. "Willow and A-Qing enjoy my cooking though. How do you handle spices?" he asked, offering a bite of his sandwich. He pouted a little at the can, but drank his water.

"Probably a good idea." Trunks agreed, watching Wei pull out his flute and then put it back. "I have yet to meet a food I haven't enjoyed. That's your sandwich though, so you eat it. Just save me a portion next time you cook." Trunks grins, and pulls over Wei's can of beer.

"So, because it's carbonated, you don't want to shake this kind of drink. Anything that's a soda, or carbonated, will build up under pressure in a closed vessel when shook. Like a can. So when you open it, you get an explosive jet of liquid." Fortunately, Trunks knew how to counteract this a bit.

"How do you know if someone else came over and shook your can?" Wei Wuxian asked, curiously. Not at all like someone who would deliberately shake a can and then give it to someone.

He finished his sandwich and leaned over to check out the can, to see how Trunks opened it.

"You can't really tell until you open it. WHICH, since you shook yours earlier, that's why I do this." Trunks replied with a hint of smirk, before tapping the top of the can. "You open it like this." Being sure to hold the can more towards Wei so he could watch as Trunks pulled up the tab, and opened the can. Then he passed it back to the other man.

"Now, I wouldn't recommend shaking it and then leaving for someone as it's a waste of good drink. We have to buy our own here on the train, remember?" Which meant Trunks' cans of beer were even more limited in stock, since he'd brought them with him.

"I never waste alcohol," Wei Wuxian said seriously. "It is too precious, especially here."

He started to take a cautious sip out of the can. It immediately did weird things since the opening wasn't one he was used to, so he held it further away and just poured some into his mouth. It was fizzy, which was unexpected, and the taste vaguely reminded him of bread. He swallowed, then looked at the can.

"What is it made out of?"

"It depends on the kind, but usually hops, yeast, and water are core ingredients." Trunks said with a smile, watching Wei's reactions. "Nor does it always come in cans. If you buy it from the Train Store, you get a bottle."

"So the fact it tastes a bit like bread is intentional, then?" he asked. He took another drink. "The fizz is interesting. Sort of scours your tongue a bit though."

"Yes, and that fizz is the carbonation. Basically adding Carbon Dioxide to a drink to give it that fizz."

Wei Wuxian frowned, then looked at Trunks. "Isn't that the stuff you exhale? Someone breathed into my drink?" He sounded a bit offended.

"No one breathed into your drink. It was added chemically. Think about how the can was sealed. It's all done by machines."
