The void storm hadn't been too bad, at least. Adam had avoided looking out the windows, but the turbulence had been too much like flying for him.

"The last mission was rough." It had started out easy enough, aside from the impending meteor, but then everything had gone to hell.

At the mention of people, though, his expression fell. "Having people around is important," he agreed softly. "Everyone needs someone at some point or another." Adam had, desperately, even if he'd spent a large portion of his life pretending he didn't.
