As for the rest, Koumyou ticks things off on one bony hand, "No smoking, no drinking, no eating meat, no gambling -- even without money! No... basically anything, that isn't just meditating and teaching. That's how it is for all monks, just substitute teaching for studying in most cases. Oh, and add chores. Rank does have some benefits, and not having to hand-scrub the floors anymore is one of them."
