Imagination 21--Capture the Flag.

Who: Trunks Brief (light_of_willpower) and anyone interested in playing a game.
Where: Standard Gym Carriage
When: Afternoon Imagination 21
What: A simple game of Capture the Flag.

Trunks is waiting in the Standard Gym car, dressed all in black instead of the usual train-uniform. He's set up the standard Gym car so that at either end there are two goalposts with flags attached, one yellow and one green. About 4ft or so around each goalpost, are some cones placed out to further mark out the 'bases'. Everywhere else is neutral territory. There is a small area to either side of the doors marked out by cones too, for anyone who wants to watch.

"I'm glad people liked the idea, and I hope we all have fun. We have two teams, yellow and green. We have 20 vests of each, along with a flag, thanks to our spider-seamstress. I decided to go with the simple version of the game and restrict it to one car for now, but if people like this and it works, we can play again. And experiment with multiple cars." Pitching his voice to project, and he's clearly excited about this.

"So how will we play? The goal is to get the opposing team's flag back to your team's base, and plant it next to your own. Around each goal I've set up a 'base' area that's considered your team's territory and safe. Outside of these bases is neutral territory, and where you'll basically play a game of tag while trying to get the flag." Pausing to make sure everyone is following he continues. "A tag is a light tap on the arm or shoulder, any other type of tag is illegal. If you're tagged, freeze for 3 seconds--counted out, and then you can go back in play."

"As for rules, the first rule is basically Don't be a jerk. We're all here to have fun, so be good sports and help everyone have fun. Also, no teleporting or phasing or flying. No energy blasts or beams or blasts of any kind really. Someone gets hurt, all play nearby stops to check on that person. No intentionally tripping or causing someone to fall." Here there is a stern look. "I'm organizing, so I plan to referee and I'll be flying above the field of play to keep an eye on things." One half of his mouth quirks up. "I won't play favorites, either."

[There are 20 yellow vests and 20 green vests. Trunks will try to help make sure there's a relatively even number of players on each team.]

Cassie approaches with her gym gear on and a confident smile on her face.

"Alright, so who's gonna be the winning team today?"

She lifts a finger to her chin in mock thought.

"Well, green's always been my color."

[Both because green team is getting people, now, and because the color reminds him slightly more of Nikita...

Pity red is already not an option, in that respect.]

[ Light's an observer, partially because she got there a bit late, and partially because she's been nursing a mild tension headache since earlier in the afternoon. So she's leaning against the wall in the marked area, eyes half-lidded as she watches the play.

She might tag in, at some point, but she's not counting on it. ]

[ With a goal in mind now, Gyousou is left with drive and nowhere to aim it. The announcement of a friendly competition comes at just the right time, and so he heads for the pile of vests for the team with the fewest adults so far. ]

Yellow for myself as well.

Green thread then, I guess?

“Guess I’m going Green, then.”

[Masumi heads over to where the vests are, taking one of the green ones for herself as she spoke. She certainly seems eager for this game.]

Green Team Base - The Huddle

"Alright, team, so here's how it's gonna work," Cassie says. "W e're playing in a narrow space, so stealth isn't an option, for them or for us. We're gonna need as many of us as possible on the attack."

"Yeah, it used to be mine." Said a familiar voice behind her.

Sonya told Trunks she'd sign up, but she thought to keep it a secret from Cassie. The two of them hadn't been on a team together since..well, for her it was that Day; however, in this case, it wasn't a deadly mission or anything life threatening. Just a friendly game of 'Capture the Flag' and frankly the last time she played any kind of sport with Cass was last year around Christmas-though with how that turned out she couldn't even call that 'safe'.

"But I decided to retire it when you became a sergeant."

"Well, I figure I was wearing it when I scored the biggest win of my life," Cassie says. "It'll win me this one, too."

[Daia debates on which colour for a few minutes, and decides those who signed up for Yellow so far look probably more friendly, he slides on a Yellow vest.]

Yellow for me, too. I'll do my best!

"Hell of a connection," She smirked and playfully smacked her with her own vest. "And like last time, this win will require being on a team as well."

It took Jax a full six months to get off her ass about Jacqui's injuries, so no, she wasn't going to stop reminding Cassie about that.

Cassie smiles as she absorbs the smack. She lifts her hand in a lighthearted salute.

"Yes, ma'am. Understood, ma'am."
