1. Imagination 26 
The day after the Winter Fair, Conan was up early with a long list of things to get done. His world had suddenly changed. Again. And that meant that there were some conversations that needed to happen and some plans that needed to be made.

He seeks out Haibara first. Then Sera. Then Jounouchi to return the clothes he'd borrowed. And after all of that was done? He needed to make the rounds of the people who were in on his secret. He needed to check in with Ran.

And he needed to plan. Vermouth was still here, after all.
 

2. Late Imagination and Early Jelly

For the first time ever, Conan does not go out onto the platform to meet the new arrivals. The drama of the confrontation with Ran and the lingering worries about such a massive change in his life had been more than enough distraction. He spends the first few days afterwards trying to give Ran space to process everything. He spends a lot of time in the library re-reading through the mystery section. Afternoons, he can be found in the gym working out his thoughts by kicking a soccerball against the wall.

At night? Well, he hadn't exactly been sleeping well before this. And now that Ran knew.... Well, there wasn't any reason to try and conceal his insomnia any more. In the early hours of the morning it isn't unusual to find him wandering in the direction of the kitchen or the library.

"I assume she was thinking about when we get home from here."

But back on topic.

"How many of us are there, anyway?"

"...Just the two of us, going by Black Organization records. Realistically speaking, every dose of the drug was accounted for, and every use by the Organization was meticulously logged and followed up on to ensure the victim died."

She pauses. "Of course, after I left, anything could have happened."

If the possibility was there....

"Something else to watch for when we get home, then."

He didn't like this. The more survivors, the greater the chance that the organization would figure out that the apotoxin didn't always kill.

Haibara, unable to read Kudo's thoughts, echoes his thoughts. "If more survivors pop up, I can't see our situation remaining secret. Unless they've become more lax in their standards, which is not a bet I'd like to take."

"If they become aware of the drug's side effects, how long do you think we'll have before they track it back to us?"

"Honestly, it all depends on whether or not they buy that I died on the Bell Tree Express. The possibility of a victim being turned into a child will exist, but if they believe the two of us dead, they won't have reason to track us down. It'll mean we have to be even more careful in the future, though."

Better than he'd feared, but still not a good situation.

"They better not figure that out. I put a lot of hard work into that deception."

Meaning he'd concocted the plan on the spot and blackmailed Kaitou Kid into helping out.
