Make the Clock Reverse (Day 22 Jelly)
Bring back what once was mine.
On the evening of Day 21, before it goes dark, any Voidtreckers who look out of the windows might see the void is a little more chaotic than usual. There's a little bit of turbulence. Nothing too bad, nowhere near how bad it got during the void storm, but noticeable all the same.
It doesn't last long, and the night continues. Those who are not early to bed may see the odd golden flicker out of the corner of their eyes, darting away and vanishing if pursued.
Strange...
Change the fates' design.
"Good Morning passengers. Today is day twenty two of the month of Jelly." The morning announcement wakes everyone up as usual, and they awaken in their own beds.
Though, for some passengers, those beds may seem completely unfamiliar: a strange room full of people they don't recognise. For others the room and people are perfectly normal, just... bigger than they remember them being yesterday.
Or it might be that they feel healed, old scars faded. The changes might be small, sporting their embarrassing teenage hair cut; or drastic, their whole body younger.
Either way, it is clear that something very strange has happened on the train.
(OOC: All the information about this event is Here. All changes will reverse the next night and passengers will wake up normal on day 23.
Update: In early afternoon the dressing carriage cupboards will open and animal onesies will be available in child size.)
Masumi Sera | OTA unless specified
In fact, not only is this not her bed, but these aren't her pyjamas either (they're way too big to be hers!), and that this isn't where she's even supposed to be at all. Confused and a little scared, she pushes herself into the back corner of the bed as she looks around for anyone familiar to tell her what's happening.]
...Where am I?... [And then, hesitantly, as she realizes her family is nowhere to be seen:] ...Mama?
2. Initial Exploration
Eventually she finds the movie car, and loudly gasps before rushing down to pick a seat, all nervousness forgotten.]
Are there movies here? Can I watch one?[It seems someone's excited by the idea of a theatre in a train.]
3. Distraction Time
Unfortunately, because she's seven, she doesn't have much sense for what's safe or not. As a result, when she finds something that looks like it can be climbed in the training gym, she immediately runs to try and undo the straps holding it to the wall so that she can climb it.
...Someone might want to stop her before she can actually start climbing the climbing apparatus, that thing isn't actually built for kids to climb.]
exploration - cinema
[ Seto has figured out how to browse the listings on the ICP. ]
It's strange that they'd just leave this out. But I think this is the menu that controls it. There's a lot to pick from.
no subject
Does this mean we can just pick one? By ourselves? [This had to be the best theater she'd ever seen, if they had more than just a few movies!]
no subject
[ He shows her how to scroll through the options. ]
Some of these documentaries are pretty weird. And there's a cowboy in space?
no subject
What's that one about?

Whatever happened is more serious than Haibara initially thought. There's no way this child still has the mind of the teenage detective she's seen. It's like her mind's gone back as well.
Hm. ]
I think you need to find some better clothes than that, first. [ Well that's one way to break the ice, I guess. ]
no subject
I...I guess so. This is all I could find to wear... [The hoodie had been her only real option for what to wear, even if it's clearly way too big for her.
She's still hesitant though, and after a moment she thinks to ask the obvious question.]
Who are you?
no subject
Here. I'm... [ She pauses, thinking of what name to use, how to explain herself to a child who doesn't know her, but who Haibara knows. ] ...an acquaintance of your brother's, Haibara.
no subject
However, it's Haibara's comment about knowing her brother that really gets her attention, and she can't help but get excited at meeting someone who knows one of them.]
You know my brother? Which one?

Gym
Please don't do that, you might get hurt.
no subject
[Said with all the confidence of someone who thinks that the climbing frame is just like something she'd find on a playground, if bigger. After all, why would it be here if she wasn't allowed to climb it?
...She doesn't really realize that it's more for older people to train on, not for small children to play on.)]
no subject
[Okay Yugi probably didn't either, but considering they seemed to be a child the answer of what he is expecting he knows isn't going to be the right answer either way.]
no subject
It’s a big jungle gym, like on the playground!
[And to be fair, she’s never seen a climbing frame meant for practice before, so it’s her best guess.]

Her roommates are both adults... She swings round to lie on her bed and hang over the edge, looking down towards Masumi's bed.
Masumi is... gone? Except perhaps not because this child looks like Masumi. Just... A child.]
Masumi?
no subject
Who are you? How do you know my name? [She's highly nervous, making no attempt to move from where she is as she stares at the girl in front of her. After a moment she asks another question, one that's been on her mind since she woke up and realized that this isn't home.
(Admittedly, she hasn't been awake that long, but it's still a big question on her mind.)]
Where are we? I don't know how I got here...
no subject
Odd things happened in the void. Was it like that? Like the dreams. Like the echoes...]
I do be being Buttercup. This do be being the Voidtrecker Express. We do be living here. [She swung down off the bed, so she was standing in front of Masumi.]
You can be borrowing some of my clothes, they will be better than those ones.
[When everything was insane, the first point of call was the focus on the practical.]

[ If you were hoping for a good influence, a buddhist monk who's been fighting since he learned how to walk isn't it.
In fact, he rushes over to help tug the frame away from the wall. Teamwork!
Maybe nine or ten, bald, the boy is wearing an oversized robe with the excess fabric tied around itself in a way that's reminiscent of a proper sash. ]
no subject
[Masumi appreciates that someone's helping her, and steps aside so that they can work together to get the frame out.]
What's your name? My name's Masumi! [By now she's working at undoing the straps, eager to get climbing as soon as possible.]
no subject
[ And super duper not used to being asked! Everyone at the temple knows who he is, after all. Most of them have other names for him.
He's a bit stronger than he looks, so between the two of them they're able to pull the frame free pretty smoothly. Then he just follows her lead and reaches for the straps to undo them. ]
This must be for some kind of agility training. It looks a lot more sturdy than the poles we use at the temple.

Distraction
[. . . Sera's been a little hard to find, though. Ran had arrived at her room too late, and she's had to scour the train for her ever since.]
[She finally has "luck" . . . in the form of a very little girl about to climb something much too large for her.]
Ah--! [Immediately she's headed forward, catching her shoulders without thought.]
Sera-chan?
no subject
Who are you? I don't think I know you? [It's really weird that some of the people here know her name even though she can't remember meeting them before. Then again, she's still not sure what is going on and still can't remember how she got on the train at all, so everything's a little weird right now.]
no subject
[So much for that. Ran does her best to pull up a smile, crouching to be more at eye level as she would have with Conan. (And also trying to resist eee-ing at how cute a mini-Sera is with those big, green eyes and unruly hair, because that's not going to help.)] Ah, I'm Ran. We met . . . a while ago. If you don't remember, that's okay.
Are you okay? I'm betting things are a little confusing right now. Has any of this place seemed familiar?
[Time to be gentle and slow and go from there.]

As she explores the train and tries to figure out how this could have happened to a Princess, she stops to laugh at the struggling of this obviously dumb girl.]
You can't undo the straps like that or it's gonna fall over on you!
no subject
Hey, it's not gonna fall on me! [Look, she's standing to the side, where it can't hit her! Clearly this is a safe thing to do!
(It's not a safe thing to do. At all.)]
no subject
OK but there's barely any adults left so if you break something I dunno who's gonna fix you dummy.
[She almost sounds like she wants to see someone get flattened by falling gym equipment.]
