Make the Clock Reverse,
Bring back what once was mine.

On the evening of Day 21, before it goes dark, any Voidtreckers who look out of the windows might see the void is a little more chaotic than usual. There's a little bit of turbulence. Nothing too bad, nowhere near how bad it got during the void storm, but noticeable all the same.

It doesn't last long, and the night continues. Those who are not early to bed may see the odd golden flicker out of the corner of their eyes, darting away and vanishing if pursued.

Strange...

Heal what has been hurt,
Change the fates' design.

"Good Morning passengers. Today is day twenty two of the month of Jelly." The morning announcement wakes everyone up as usual, and they awaken in their own beds.

Though, for some passengers, those beds may seem completely unfamiliar: a strange room full of people they don't recognise. For others the room and people are perfectly normal, just... bigger than they remember them being yesterday.

Or it might be that they feel healed, old scars faded. The changes might be small, sporting their embarrassing teenage hair cut; or drastic, their whole body younger.

Either way, it is clear that something very strange has happened on the train.

(OOC: All the information about this event is Here. All changes will reverse the next night and passengers will wake up normal on day 23.

Update: In early afternoon the dressing carriage cupboards will open and animal onesies will be available in child size.)

"How do you do that?" Sure the young girl had no clue as to the situation and why she was here of all places but when one sees someone hoovering how can one not be curious enough to simply ask about that.

It was like magic or something.

Thanatos floats out from behind the corner, still clutching tight Mort. She's just... talking with him?

"How do I do what?"

"Float like that. I can just walk, so I was wondering how you do it?" Not that she figured she could do something like that, just a 4 year old girl who was very curious about what someone can float.

Thanatos is quiet as he considers his ability to float. He's seen his mother and brothers float since birth, so he's never thought of it as something he couldn't do. It came so naturally to him... like shifting from place to place, much to his mother's displeasure. (Twin babies are hard enough without one disappearing halfway across the world on her.)

"I just... do?"

"So it's just something you do... Okay," And she just accepts it like that. No more questions that was it.

"Where are you heading?"

"I don't know yet. I didn't expect to be here." But he's not scared, not as long as Mort is with him. No. He's just confused as to why he is here in this place.

"Are you going somewhere?"

"I was planning on exploring and see what there is. Maybe we could find something fun" She wouldn't know what that could be without actually going to find out right?

"Do you want to come and explore?"

One thing that Thanatos did a lot of when left on his own was explore. When he didn't fully understand his role, he shifted from place to place as he tried to make sense of what he felt.

"Okay, but... Mort's worried I'm going to scare you because I'm Death, and you're a mortal." That tends to be something people don't like to find out.

"Is that a bad thing? Like if you touch me I'd die? If not I'm not sure what one could be scared about." At least in the young child mind anyway there is nothing scary about saying they are death. Nothing else seemed to be happening after all.

"No, I'm not going to kill you if we touch..." It doesn't work that way unless maybe he tried to yank her thread out of her body, but that would hurt a lot, and he wouldn't do that to someone! Especially someone he's not even supposed to collect.

"But... most people don't like the idea of me and would rather I'd stay away. You, you're really not afraid of me?"

"I don't see why I would need to be." That was how she saw it anyway. To her they didn't seem like a bad person or anything, so she was fine.

She was also a young child so there was a lot she probably didn't understand, but right now she at least understood nothing to be scared of.

"I... guess if you don't mind..." Thanatos brushes some of his long hair out of his face. He's really not used to this kind of reaction. Even when he comes to collect young mortals, there's always someone trying to shoo him away. As if he was the one who decided their child was to die then.

"We could explore. Together, I mean."

"I don't mind and exploring is always fun. It's a new place after all." Even though she was far away from home, away from people that she knew she was still at least looking out for the positives at least.

"Where have you been so far?"

"Not much... I woke up in a room and came out here." The hallways look alike to him so far, but there are a lot of sleeper cars to go through before the scenery really changes.

"Same here. With baggy clothing and everything." So she didn't even know where to start really. All new places and her Grandmother not being here.

"But that just means we can go anywhere and it would be new."

Thanatos looks at his own clothing. He's never see a tunic or chiton like this before. It has words and a funny picture on it. Comfy, even if it restricts one arm's movement a little.

"Which direction should we start?"

"Ummm..." Kairi looked up and down for a moment. Which way would be the best way to go first? So mysterious either way and fun opportunities.

"How about... that way," she said pointing towards a random direction. "It seems as we can only go one way or another and that's it."

It's as good of a direction as any, and Thanatos floats over the door to open it. Despite his small size, the door proves easy for a godling to open. It reveals another one of the smaller rooms between two of the bigger hallways. Does this one have the strange sounds too?

He holds the door open for Kairi. That's what one does when exploring with another person, right? "Okay, let's explore."
