Make the Clock Reverse (Day 22 Jelly)

Make the Clock Reverse,
Bring back what once was mine.

On the evening of Day 21, before it goes dark, any Voidtreckers who look out of the windows might see the void is a little more chaotic than usual. There's a little bit of turbulence. Nothing too bad, nowhere near how bad it got during the void storm, but noticeable all the same.

It doesn't last long, and the night continues. Those who are not early to bed may see the odd golden flicker out of the corner of their eyes, darting away and vanishing if pursued.

Strange...

Heal what has been hurt,
Change the fates' design.

"Good Morning passengers. Today is day twenty two of the month of Jelly." The morning announcement wakes everyone up as usual, and they awaken in their own beds.

Though, for some passengers, those beds may seem completely unfamiliar: a strange room full of people they don't recognise. For others the room and people are perfectly normal, just... bigger than they remember them being yesterday.

Or it might be that they feel healed, old scars faded. The changes might be small, sporting their embarrassing teenage hair cut; or drastic, their whole body younger.

Either way, it is clear that something very strange has happened on the train.

(OOC: All the information about this event is Here. All changes will reverse the next night and passengers will wake up normal on day 23.

Update: In early afternoon the dressing carriage cupboards will open and animal onesies will be available in child size.)

Afternoon

Yugi couldn't help but feel sad hearing someone calling for their father. But it was also a reminder of the situation that they currently had. Kids seemed to be everywhere and it was his job in his mind to help out.

So that was exactly what he was going to do.

"I know you want to see your father but... Maybe tomorrow he will be here." He knew it was a lie and he didn't honestly know how long this will happen for, but maybe he felt like it was the best idea.

"Oh..." she considered that. "Is he running away cause he owes money again?" she asked in a small voice. They were always running away from people daddy owed money to. But usually he took her with him.

"I have no idea honestly." he gave a rather awkward smile at that briefly. "I mean would he leave you alone to run away like that normally?"

"Nuh uh. He says my cute is his best defense. He usually only leaves to try and find us a place to sleep for the night. But I woke up indoors and alone and indoors is MOVING!"

"That's because you're on a train." As he spoke he was at least trying to figure out just how a bunch of kids managed to end up on the train without going to the platform first, but that just meant that maybe the void did this.

But then the question is just who out of all the passengers was this one?

"Trains move and take us places."

"Take us places? Do you think Daddy put me in here when he went to get something and he'll come back to find me and I'm gone?" she asked, eyes going wide in a panic. "I have to go back! I have to find daddy!" and she dashed off, having absolutely no clue where she was going.

He... might want to catch her.

"No... I don't think it was him who put you here." he soon found himself sighing briefly. He knows and somewhat understands what is going on, but it's not something he can easily explain to a worried child. A probably very worried child.

But when she dashed off, he sighed once more before going to run after her. God, he hoped that his training was going to have some pay off right now.

"Wait! Running really will not help you!"

"I hafta find him! I hafta find a door out so I can go back and find daddy!" she called over her shoulder, still running. Of course she is a bitty and malnourished and desperately trying to keep something from falling out of her pocket. So he probably will catch her pretty quickly.

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2021-02-25 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
He continued to go after her, knowing that if she tried to open the door to get out he knew it might not open but if it did it wouldn't be good considering they are moving of all things.

"Please wait up. Opening a door will not work and right now you won't be able to find them, unfortunately."

[personal profile] little_naja 2021-02-25 10:35 am (UTC)(link)
"If I can't find a door, why does it matter of it won't open?" she asked, stopped for the moment by the weirdness of that. Just long enough for him to catch her, of he moves quickly. She's a kid who is freaked out, unless he keeps distracting her, she won't stay still for long.

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2021-02-27 09:04 am (UTC)(link)
"No, I mean won't be able to find them as I mean your father. Not a door, but also considering we are on a moving train, opening the door if possible, which... I don't actually know because who would want to while on a moving train..." He couldn't think of anyone but could be proven wrong.

"Just would be dangerous so many reasons."
little_naja: (Angry)

[personal profile] little_naja 2021-02-28 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"But I hafta try or I really won't find him." She didn't care if it was dangerous. It was worth getting some ouchies to find her daddy. She went back to looking for a door.

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2021-03-02 10:57 am (UTC)(link)
"I doubt you'd be able to find him in the void." He didn't actually know what was out there either, which was slowly becoming his biggest concern.

"I don't even know what can happen if anyone did get outside.." Okay, maybe that wasn't the best thing to say to a child, so he is soon quick to speaking again.

"I mean, we don't know a lot about what can happen outside. So it's just a concern."
little_naja: (Angry)

[personal profile] little_naja 2021-03-03 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"Then we'll find out. I just know Daddy'll be waiting for me!" she said, stubbornly.
sizedoesntmatter: (45)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2021-03-05 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"So you are risking potentially killing a train full of people and yourself just to find out?"
little_naja: (Angry)

[personal profile] little_naja 2021-03-06 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
"How would that hurt anyone?" she asked both angry and wary now since she knew that sometimes adults who aren't daddy lie to kids to make them do what they want. And if he was lying she was gonna kick him hard in the leg then run away fast!
sizedoesntmatter: (24)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2021-03-10 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Because we don't know how the void works exactly. We can travel through it, but only because we are on the train. I once saw someone get a migraine just looking into it with a telescope. I feel like there is a reason we are on a train and not like just able to walk through it ourselves without the train."

And honestly, it's the unknown that's the scary aspect but without a means to actually know how it would affect people if they went outside without protection, he never wanted to take the risk.
little_naja: (Raptly Listening)

[personal profile] little_naja 2021-03-10 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
She gave him a bit of a frustrated and huffy look. "So it's dangerous just cause we dunno? Daddy says you can't be scared of things just because they're new or different!"
sizedoesntmatter: (ygo-s051heartfell)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2021-03-15 10:51 am (UTC)(link)
"I mean watching someone suddenly getting a migraine by looking at it doesn't mean we can just go out and it will be sunshine and daisies either, odds are it will affect us in some way if just looking at it does that."
little_naja: (Angry)

[personal profile] little_naja 2021-03-16 10:15 am (UTC)(link)
"But people get headaches lookin at the sun directly too, that's why daddy says you shouldn't do that. And you can burn your eyes too. But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't ever go out durin the day."
sizedoesntmatter: (185)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2021-03-16 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay, then I will explain it like this. Treat the void like the sun. You shouldn't look at it, but we are also surrounded by it. If one literally went into the sun what would happen? Before you say they arent the same thing we are just using this as an example."
little_naja: (Angry)

[personal profile] little_naja 2021-03-17 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
"I dunno. I never walked inta the sun," she said., because that should be obvious. In a voice that said as much.
sizedoesntmatter: (83)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2021-03-17 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Exactly because it's not a good idea. Reminds me of a story about someone who got too close to the sun. The same applies here. People are and want to look into the void more, but it's better to do it in a place that's at least safe."
little_naja: (Angry)

[personal profile] little_naja 2021-03-17 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Biut you said it was jus an 'zample."
