Make the Clock Reverse,
Bring back what once was mine.

On the evening of Day 21, before it goes dark, any Voidtreckers who look out of the windows might see the void is a little more chaotic than usual. There's a little bit of turbulence. Nothing too bad, nowhere near how bad it got during the void storm, but noticeable all the same.

It doesn't last long, and the night continues. Those who are not early to bed may see the odd golden flicker out of the corner of their eyes, darting away and vanishing if pursued.

Strange...

Heal what has been hurt,
Change the fates' design.

"Good Morning passengers. Today is day twenty two of the month of Jelly." The morning announcement wakes everyone up as usual, and they awaken in their own beds.

Though, for some passengers, those beds may seem completely unfamiliar: a strange room full of people they don't recognise. For others the room and people are perfectly normal, just... bigger than they remember them being yesterday.

Or it might be that they feel healed, old scars faded. The changes might be small, sporting their embarrassing teenage hair cut; or drastic, their whole body younger.

Either way, it is clear that something very strange has happened on the train.

(OOC: All the information about this event is Here. All changes will reverse the next night and passengers will wake up normal on day 23.

Update: In early afternoon the dressing carriage cupboards will open and animal onesies will be available in child size.)

Thanatos was lucky because at present Senku was not trying to tear something apart since he was essentially unsupervised, but he had a book in his hand.

"I'm reading about-" There was a pause as he looked up and his eyes widened. "Are you floating?"

"Yes, I am. It's something I can do." Thanatos wiggles his toes as if to show that there really isn't anything under him. This is all his doing.

"What are you reading?"

"How are you doing that?" He asked, fascinated.

"It's physics but, what are you doing?" Senku got down on the ground so he could look. He really was floating!

He doesn't reply at first, puzzled by how he could possibly explain something that's instinctual to him. The silence would have dragged on longer if Mort hadn't squeaked a gentle reminder.

"I'm a god. I think I just can."

"What kind of a god are you?" That seemed like the natural question, even though he wasn't sure what he thought about that yet.

"I'm Death Incarnate," he says. Then he quickly adds, "But, I'm not here to collect anyone's soul."

Thanatos just wants to... hang out? With people who aren't immediately afraid of him or talk only of work?

"Like...like the guy with the sickle?" Senku can't help but ask. He'd seen that kind of motif animated. He was skeptical, but he wasn't going to run away from him.

"I don't know why I'm here, I haven't figured it out yet."

"I have a sword." Thanatos holds out his hand and a sword appears. It looks a little big for him, but he manages to hold it without issue. The scythe comes a little later for him.

That, like the floating, was completely inexplicable to him.

"Where did you get that?" Senku asked him, tilting his head. "Hey, do you think we could get out of here?"

"I just summoned it." It's the same kind of answer as earlier. He just can. Try not to think too much on it Senku.

"I haven't tried yet, but would you be okay out there?" Thanatos motions to the Void outside.

"I don't know, maybe. Maybe it will stop if we go out there."

Thanatos thinks a moment. "We could try a door."

"I did." Senku pouted a little bit. "It didn't open."

"Maybe both of us could open it." Thanatos is a god, and even if he's a godling, he might be stronger than a human child. He's never actually tried to compare his strength like that.

He considered that a moment. The logic seemed sound.

"Let's go try. I'll show you where I found the door." Senku agreed with a nod. Thanatos was definitely much stronger than Senku.

Thanatos will follow Senku toward the door he tried earlier. He'll float quietly and look out through the windows. What's it going to be like out there? Is it like the edges of Mother's influence? Like what he thinks Grandparent Chaos's realm might be?

Senku tried looking at the light again but he had to cover his eyes with a whine.

"I don't like it!"

The outside starts to make his head hurt too. It's not the same as staying on the surface for too long, but it's really unpleasant.

"On second thought, maybe we shouldn't try going out there."

"Then how do we get out of here?" Senku asked with a bit of a frown. He just wanted to go back home.

If he could just shift back to the Underworld, he could make it back to his home. That doesn't help Senku, though. Thanatos looks around again, though avoids looking directly out the windows.

"We could try finding whoever's in charge and make a case for our return." Thanatos pictures someone like Lord Hades holding court. Perhaps they can try doing the same.

Senku paused. That was probably the most obvious solution to people but he tended to avoid most people, especially grown ups.

"Alright, let's go see if we can find someone in charge."

Senku isn't the only one who'd like to avoid people, but in this case, Thanatos can't think of another option. Someone has to be in charge, and if the two of them present a good enough case, they'll have to see reason.

Thanatos and Senkku just need to find that person first.

"Where would a important person be on this train... the front?"

"They'd have to be, that's usually where the engineer is!"

Senku was all too happy to lead this strange floating boy in that direction to see if they could get to the bottom of it.
