Make the Clock Reverse,
Bring back what once was mine.

On the evening of Day 21, before it goes dark, any Voidtreckers who look out of the windows might see the void is a little more chaotic than usual. There's a little bit of turbulence. Nothing too bad, nowhere near how bad it got during the void storm, but noticeable all the same.

It doesn't last long, and the night continues. Those who are not early to bed may see the odd golden flicker out of the corner of their eyes, darting away and vanishing if pursued.

Strange...

Heal what has been hurt,
Change the fates' design.

"Good Morning passengers. Today is day twenty two of the month of Jelly." The morning announcement wakes everyone up as usual, and they awaken in their own beds.

Though, for some passengers, those beds may seem completely unfamiliar: a strange room full of people they don't recognise. For others the room and people are perfectly normal, just... bigger than they remember them being yesterday.

Or it might be that they feel healed, old scars faded. The changes might be small, sporting their embarrassing teenage hair cut; or drastic, their whole body younger.

Either way, it is clear that something very strange has happened on the train.

(OOC: All the information about this event is Here. All changes will reverse the next night and passengers will wake up normal on day 23.

Update: In early afternoon the dressing carriage cupboards will open and animal onesies will be available in child size.)

"If you could elaborate, it would be helpful. If you did not remember something, you would not know you did not remember it, so you would believe you remembered everything in such a circumstance as well."

And that wasn't even getting into how organic brains were a bit less organized than AIs.

Yoite nodded his agreement and considered for a moment. As long as she didn't mind while he found each character on the keyboard, what a pain that was.

We live on the train. I was here yesterday, just taller.

Was that enough?

"Ah! How unusual. Most affected people are also regressed mentally." But considering how everything kept going on this train, maybe the only rule was that there were no rules...

Yoite nodded a little bit as he considered that.

I'm maybe fifteen. He explained, even though he was probably the size of someone half his age.

"I am not certain that is relevant." A data point, yes. But hadn't other people around that age been affected?

Yoite just nodded his agreement, but he didn't know what would be relevant instead. He'd hoped that would be helpful.

He shrugged a little helplessly.

"Well. I am unable to reverse this, but please allow me to ask if you are all right." Protecting didn't just mean with shields, after all.

Yoite considered her question for a moment and smiled slightly. He nodded. He was okay, it was strange, it was definitely inconvenient to be so small again and the fact he couldn't talk...but he wasn't harmed.

"Oh, wonderful! I am very glad to hear that!" Orisa's eyeshields whirled around again, burning idle cycles in routine cleaning and maintenance as she processed a thought. "Perhaps you can assist me, then. Are you good with animals?"

He tilted his head slightly and considered that.

I don't know. He responded after a moment, showing it to Orisa.

"Hmm, well. If I asked you to look after my puppy, would that be very difficult?"

[comefadeaway]

He considered that for a moment. He'd taken care of the pandas okay.

Yoite shook his head. He could take care of her puppy.

I can do that.

"That will be of great assistance to me. I worry that children may not be as good with a puppy as they believe they are. Please wait here."

Orisa moved off at speed, back to the sleeper cars, before returning a couple of minutes later with her pooch.

By the time she's come back, he already has a question queued for her and he waves a bit to catch her attention and show her.

What do I do?

She set the puppy down on the floor, then leaned over to read.

"Oh, you must tell him he is a good boy. Watch over him so he does not run out into the other carriages and get underfoot. And make sure no one else steps on him and everyone is careful around him."

Yoite considered the instructions and nodded. Then he reached out and pat the puppy on the head as a 'good boy' gesture.

He looked up at Orisa and smiled, offering her a thumb's up. He could handle that.

The puppy gave out a happy bark, then jumped right for Yoite's lap!

"He likes you!" Orisa said brightly, as if that was some surprise. As if her puppy didn't like EVERYone.

It was a bit of a surprise to him and his eyes widened, but he didn't move so the puppy could sit on his lap. He continued to pet it gently, in a reassuring way for Orisa that he was going to be careful with her treasured friend.

"I will return to check on you later. Thank you very much!"

Believing her pup in good hands, Orisa tromped back to the door. She had much more work to do today!
