Magickal Crafting and research -- Kazoo day 3
Who: Raven
azrthmtrnznthos and YOU
Where: Kitchen car and standard car
When: Kazoo day 3
What: Raven's doing research and brewing magical things.
Warnings: Do not try these recipes in Real Life? Raven is a professional (and not real).
Having the locker in the armory car helped Raven with her storage, considering she'd been buying magical supplies. And she'd probably buy more, soon. While she'd rather use her own trunk for storage, the truth was there was really no room for it in her room. So her books, along with her candles and her box of dried-herbs in bottles, had been moved to the locker.
Today, she had decided, was a day for some magickal workings. One of her books on healing magic out, she was consulting it for recipes and spells. It was held aloft, while she was in the kitchen, as Raven was careful to keep the pots she used separate from the general stock. Afterwards, she'd defintely have to give them a good scrub, but it was worth it in her mind. So you might catch her with small jars and bottles, a pot of boiling water (or two or three) and a levitating spell book.
Or you might catch her in the standard car, with small bottles of dried herbs and some fabric scraps, as well as 2 more spell books. With a loose circle of 5 candles around herself and her work, levitated and lit by magic. If anyone tries to approach too closely, she'll stop them before they can break the circle.

The sight and smell of candles from all the way down the car catches Casper's attention and he approaches with Bob on his shoulder, curious. He spots the herbs and spell books and before Raven has to lift her hand he stops and waits to be acknowledged. If she's in the middle of a spell, he doesn't want to mess it up.

Kitchen
Enter that little girl again, looking over at the levitating book and boiling water. Or, well, the pots. She's not actually tall enough to see the boiling water inside of them.
"What are you cooking up?"

Not that most people here know that. Seven-year-olds aren't that.
"What kind of ingredients are you using?"

"Excuse me! Sorry." She lifts herself up high on her hair, and tries to "step" far over without disturbing anything. But... seriously, wait.
"What are you doing?... and can I scan you while you do it?"

Whatever it ought to be called, Madoka is pretty sure that Raven is not just doing some regular cooking the moment she walks into the carriage. Her gaze, surprised and wide-eyed, moves across the levitating spellbook towards the pots on the fire.
Before it slowly lands on Raven.
"Raven..? What are you making?"
After all, Madoka can't really tell what it is, other than just 'not food'.

She's gotten used to those by now, after all, through how much they've been used on the last few missions. Even though what Raven seems to be making here is a little different - but the effect seems similar, intending to try and help cure people of things.
Madoka slowly steps closer, perhaps wanting to take a closer look.
".. Do you think someone might get poisoned?"
no subject
"I don't know, but it's better to be prepared. It'll also help if we're in medical and a body has sepsis."
no subject
"Hmm, it's good to think ahead!" Especially when they're in a situation where just about anything can happen. The train has proven how weird it can get at times with everything that happened at the end of last month.
Madoka smiles at the other girl. "You're so responsible, Raven."

kitchen
"Phew, is everyone cooking for fun nowadays?"
It sure smells...herby in here? But he hasn't missed the 'cook' in question, if surprised to see who it is today.
"You cook?"

"Is this...magic?" Tidus goes for. He knows she's something magical, and that's about it.
Can he go over and look inside one of the pots... that's totally safe, right. Don't you take a peek inside boiling pots?

But there he goes, looking into one.
...
That sure looks like a bunch of stuff.
"Huh." Huh. Yep. That's about as far as his thoughts can go for this. "Sooo...what's it do when you're done?"

"Hey! Are you trying to make..." he starts, before he leans in and takes a whiff of one of the jars, recoiling immediately. "Okay, that definitely doesn't go into soup."

It used to be nice to be called that. Now... "Rich is good, please," he manages with just the barest hint of strain in his voice. "What exactly is that infusion supposed to do?"
