Morning of Kazoo 5 [Closed to Raven's CR]
Who: Raven
azrthmtrnznthos and CR
Where: The entire train, then Quiet Cabin
When: Morning of Kazoo 5, right after this post.
What: Raven's panic cause her powers to react, and then she flees to the Quiet Car to hide and think.
Warnings: Dark backstory and prophecy might get mentioned?
Raven stared at the video post, by one of the new comers. The description had to be wrong; it had to be? ...but what if it wasn't?
Raven was panicking. It had crept up on her so quickly she didn't realize her powers were reacting to it until she noticed everything in her vicinity not nailed down was shaking. In truth, across the whole train--anything not nailed down was shaking.
As soon as she noticed, Raven shut it down, mostly by deciding she wouldn't feel. She took her backpack, and fled. Soon enough one of the quiet cabins was taken over, entirely encased in dark-energy. She needed time to think, to calm down. It was just a vision, right?

Still, it takes seeing network posts before he makes a wager over what happened. He finds the Quiet Car, finds the room that's all blacked out. Right. He probably shouldn't interrupt that. Maybe he can do a small somethin' to help though.
About five minutes after that he puts a cup of tea down by the door, the type she drank in the Medical car that he remembered, and bangs on the door with the heel of his fist. He calls in a, "Leavin' some tea here!" and starts to walk off to give her space.

It sounded like it, but he wanted her thoughts. He'd talked to her enough to trust what she had to say on the whole thing.

Not that it helps if it's personal, and that looked like it could be personal.
"What happened?"

But the appearance of a totally dark quiet car cabin made him pause. It was dark to the point where he couldn't see inside, so definitely magical darkness. Tentatively he rapped his fingers against the glass of the door. "Um... hello? Everything okay in there?"

His voice is soft as he speaks, letting her herd him into the car. "Okay. ... I'm sorry, did it... did it trigger something? I didn't... even think about that."

"It's...eerily similar to a vision I had, but back on Earth. That's why I need to know as much as you can tell me."

"... Pretty much what I said in the post... let me see if I can tell it better."
He closes his eyes and leans back. Bob flutters down into his lap.
"The world was stripped of all color, all life. Blood shone black, bodies lay grey and crumbling, desiccated. The only ways I could tell that there was time passing at all were distant screams, the occasional pop of a fire. or crash of a building giving way. I sobbed without sound, curled up between rotting wood and rotting people."
"The air in front of me was torn open, parting like paper, like the sky was just material to be torn and broken. Claws pulled it apart further, the only spots of color I'd seen for... who knows how long. Bright, intent eyes stared at me... a pleased, hissing purr, a croaked word in a language I didn't understand. And then black, spraying everywhere."
He opened his eyes and sighed. "Sorry, I can't exactly send the memory over here..."

They backtrack to the kitchen to collect some of her favorite tea and a couple cookies from their last batch, and return to knock very lightly with metal fingers. "Raven. I have tea and cookies. I can just leave them outside. If you want."

.. well, it doesn't look like much good could be happening in there, let's summarize it like that. That's how Madoka summarizes it in her own mind, anyway, as she quickly moves to knock on the door - before realising that it's a quiet cabin and that it isn't going to do much. So she carefully opens the door, just an inch, and softly calls out: "U-Um, is everything okay in there..?" Because it sure doesn't look like it!

"Madoka..." Raven murmured, actually sounding lost. And tired. She's sitting on the bench, an odd mirror in her hands, with her backpack nearby. She has her cowl and cloak up, but definitely does not look normal.
no subject
Yes.
There's most definitely something wrong here. And while that would be enough to make Madoka fuss in general, regardless of who would have been behind the door, seeing that it's a friend of hers only makes her heart hurt more. What could have made Raven hide here, with all that darkness around?
She enters the room, closing the door behind her, and slowly steps closer towards the other girl.
"What's going on..?"
no subject
"...did you see that video post, about the vision? This morning?"
no subject
"The one about the sky opening because something was ripping it apart..?" Sure, that had sounded unpleasant, but at this point Madoka is pretty used to the visions people were getting often being absolutely awful, even if the missions turned out alright in the end. So she's been trying to stay calm - as much as she can, anyway - despite hearing about it. "Hmm, I saw it.."
Does that have something to do with why Raven is here like this?

Wow I thought I'd already tagged this post oops
"Raven...?"
When the other girl didn't seem to notice her, Kitty followed behind her, wondering why she seemed to be in a hurry.

"Raven?" she calls. She already knows the door is locked, and she worries about the dark energy if she tries to phase through it. But she'll do it if she has to.

"Raven?" she says softly, approaching the other girl slowly. "What happened?"
