We've got Soda, OJ, Purple Stuff...
Who: Peter and Reigen
Where: Start idk, eventually kitchen car
When: Bassoon Day 17, afternoon
What: Reigen probably wasn't the best person to ask to yell at your kid. He can't be mean to Peter to save his life, so time to bribe him with the promise of energy drinks.
Warning: None atm!
Ok, so Reigen had a job that he'd promised Tony he'd do, that being calling Peter out for his bad decisions back at the mission. It wasn't like Reigen didn't want to talk to Peter about it. That kind of thing was really concerning and he didn't want Peter doing it again.
However, yelling at Tony, a man nearly twenty-five years his senior who should have known not to go alone, wasn't the same thing as doing that to Peter, a kid who was going to make stupid mistakes because that's how teenagers were. Plus Reigen actually hated scolding people: Tony just made it easy because he didn't get a dejected look on his face like a kicked puppy when Reigen called him out.
So instead of approaching this like an angry guardian, Reigen was going to get on Peter's level. Good thing that he managed to run into Peter shortly after he was doing shopping for just that.
"Oi, Peter, you got time? I need to talk to you." He held up one of the fizzy purple drinks before Peter could assume anything bad. "You're probably sick of being scolded, I get it. Buuut if you hear me out, these are yours to do whatever you want with."

He glances down when he hears his name and then away again at the mention of being scolded. He's had enough of that-he knows what he did was stupid and then what he did after basically getting away with it was even more stupid. He glances down again at the offer and considers it. He could use more of that purple stuff for their energy drink creation. He lets out a sigh and closes his book.
"Yeah, okay." He agrees, rolling out of the hammock and landing gracefully on the ground in a slight crouch.
"But just so you know, I've already gotten an ear full from Mr Stark and My Aunt."

"Peter Parker, what were you thinking, blah blah blah... Why would you take a child in a portal, something something, you could have gotten hurt if things went wrong. Do that again and you're super grounded for life, et cetera et cetera." He trails off while he thinks if there's anything else he needs to add, and deciding he doesn't, switches to a more genuine tone. "Seriously though, you had a fine idea, just get backup that's not an eleven-year-old next time. Safer that way."
Once that's over with, Reigen breathes a sigh of relief, as if that was actually difficult for him. "Well, if Mr. Stark asks, just tell him I said all that but really loud. Now come on, let's make some energy!"
no subject
"Uh... sure." Peter watches him carefully. He can't help but find it amusing though that Reigen was told to yell at him by Tony Stark and was now offering to go work on their energy drink they were trying to make-something he's sure Tony would not approve of. So, should he really be doing it?
"Yeah, okay. Great. Let's figure out how to do this." He's just a little sad he doesn't have a phone to look up how energy drinks are made.
no subject
"Ok, so energy drinks are just sugar and caffeine and...syrup? Is there some kind of syrup that makes them taste better or whatever?" Reigen is not the science boy here, that's Peter's job.
no subject
Instead of acknowledge that though he makes a face at Reigen's idea of an energy drink recipe.
"Uh... no. Not even. Well-I mean, maybe a little but I don't think we anything that's like straight caffeine so we'll have to use coffee. I was also thinking maybe some vanilla extract to like.. balance out the flavor? I guess we'll just have to play it by ear and do some experimenting."
no subject
"Right, right, if we're using coffee, we're gonna have to drown out that flavor with other stuff. So maybe vanilla, and some other sweeteners...would orange juice count?" He thinks it over, but nope, he's still an idiot. "Eh, you're the chemistry expert, Spider-boy. I trust your judgement."
