[PARTY MINGLE] Sweeter than the nectar of the honeybee
Who: Zagreus and YOU! Old timers, new folks, best friends, and strangers - EVERYONE is welcome!
Where: Dining Car
When: The 20th of Kazoo, evening.
What: Zagreus has obtained a little delicacy from home, and he wants to share it!
Warnings: After hours things might get a lil' boozy, but no warnings otherwise!
Upon the dawn of day 20 of the month of Kazoo, each sleeper car except Car 5D will have four black cards slid under the door, each lovingly pasted with an interesting symbol on the back, reminiscent of a certain passenger's ever-present laurels. 5D will only have one on Bulma's bed - the other two are being hand-delivered personally. If flipped over, it indicates in golden ink that a general party is to be held in the dining car that evening. All are welcome.

The party itself is a pretty understated affair - though there are plenty of wonderful decorations, courtesy of the art experts Romeo and Madoka, with a little help from Zagreus. The host himself has managed to create some streamers for the windows of the car, brilliant red paper carefully taped into long strands with several geometric patterns in the same gold ink along their length. On the ceiling are taped clusters of multi-colored balloons, some with confetti inside, others plain vibrant rainbow colors, and a few even marbled to provide some fun visual texture. The smaller balloons are strewn about the table for people to play with, bat at each other in a game of balloon table tennis, or just simply to be strewn about the dining car as the night progresses.
He's also made some bouquets of flowers to go along the length of the dining table in whatever vase-like things he could find, each containing a different set of flowers, generously provided by Xander and Persephone. He's put together some variations of crocuses, irises, larkspurs, lilies, roses, and violets, all in different shades of pink, purple, yellow, white, and red. Romeo and Madoka have been responsible for everything else, from the paper flowers decorating the walls to the hanging paper lanterns lit with little tealights to the origami figures carefully placed in little scenes along the length of the table. They're taped down for safety, so stray balloons won't knock them over! Hopefully.
As for the food, Zagreus has gone all out - with help from some of the more culinary-inclined on the train, though he's made sure to follow all recipes to the letter to make sure nothing comes out a burnt mess. Each dish contains nectar in some fashion, whether used as a honey substitute like in the hand-made karydopita and melomakarona, or used as a sweetener in something like the sweet tea or nectar lemonade punch that Zagreus is sure to make gallons of. Regardless of how any passenger feels about honey, everyone finds that the nectar hits their tongue in just the right way, making itself categorically delicious to every configuration of taste buds. There's plenty to go around for the whole train, particularly if other guests decide to help cook the nectar treats or bring their own dishes to the party. There is also one bottle of nectar left over if anyone wants a shot of the pure stuff!
Later on in the evening, once the younger passengers have gone to bed or left the adults to their own devices, someone - or several someones - may get the idea to spike the punch, perhaps leading to some drunken shenanigans by the end of the night.
And for entertainment? Zagreus has borrowed a few of the board games from the game car. He's more than happy to teach anyone a little game from home called Petteia, or he's always eager to learn a new card game or two, or even watch other passengers play each other. And he's learned of a fun little game called Never Have I Ever, which only requires a drink to play.
Enjoy your impromptu party, passengers! Let the good times (and the nectar) flow!

Jiang Cheng shakes his head, but he still lets himself pet at his brother, as if they're silly teenagers again, wasting time with drink and idle chat. He tries not to let it get to him, the things that come straight to mind, his nose wrinkling.
"I know who I am. I don't need you to baby me."
no subject
"Is it that no one sees you, or you don't want to be seen?"
no subject
"Does it matter? Either way." He huffs a little noise. "I don't have any friends and I don't need them. I have a Sect to run."
no subject
He misses Suibian. But life, like the world, doesn't cease changing or taking new form, even when old and recognised patterns are right there before him, in his brother's words, painted across his face.
"Sect leaders are not alone. Don't think you need to be, even if I failed to be the person you deserved."
no subject
He scoffs quietly, but he doesn't force the hand away; he accepts it for what it is, a bridge between them, something he can only really accept when drink clouds his mind and all his anger is numbed. In the morning he will feel a fool for allowing it, but right now he needs it more than he's ever needed anything.
Shaking his head, he closes his eyes and leans back.
"I am alone. Wei Wuxian, there are no marriage prospects and no engagements. I have my disciples and that is all I need."
no subject
He pushes his hand flat against Jiang Cheng's face.
"Jiang Cheng, are you saying you want to get intimate with someone?"
no subject
"No! Don't be so stupid, you idiot!"
But his cheeks are a violent red.
"It's expected, isn't it? Yunmeng needs a Madam!"
no subject
"No, not what I'm saying, I'm saying... I'm saying Jiang Cheng, you're finally ready for your springtime!"
no subject
It takes his foggy, confused, drunk mind a moment or two to realise what he means, but then he's leaning down and almost shoving his brother off his legs with how his body lurches.
"Shut up! You shut up right now!"
no subject
"Why, huh? It's good! A good thing to, to... to want! Things!"
It was not his most eloquent statement tonight, but it was meant, nonetheless. One virgin to another, in support!
no subject
He leans over Wei Wuxian just a little, his face a picture of glower and anger, sharpness to his mouth. His eyes, though, are still a little hazed from drinking, but oh, he is coming back to it now.
"I don't care about anything like that, any of is! Shut up or people will hear you!"
no subject
That was not shutting up, but here, have a charming smile for it too.
no subject
"I should kill you," he snaps, voice low. "Break your legs, break your arms, all of it."
no subject
And with that laughter, he teeters off to visit the latrine in all its narrow but usually clean glory, leaving Jiang Cheng to his drunken thoughts and on a better note than they'd been foundering through before.
