Who: Danny and Anyone
Where: Various
When: Kazoo 23 and 24
What: Danny has been making some poor decisions. Oops.
Kitchen, Late Night:
Danny had no clue why, but lately he'd been having an impossible time getting to sleep. And when he did sleep, it was with weird dreams that left him disturbed even after waking.
Tonight, after hours of trying and failing to get to sleep, he'd given up and made his way to the kitchen. Maybe some hot chocolate would help.
Gym Car, Afternoon
Danny was feeling weirdly restless, and couldn't seem to shake it. After his usual distractions fail, he ends up just pacing restlessly back and forth across the ceiling of the gym car.
As you do,
Standard Car, Various:
And again and again, Danny kept giving into the urge to find his way back to the window and stare into the void. Maybe it started because he was weirdly homesick for the zone, and there was some faint similarity here. But now... he couldn't shake the feeling that if he could just look into the void a little longer, see into it a lot of further, maybe he would be able to understand something.

Gym car
Kitty had just come by to do a bit of training, as she did quite a bit. And while finding Danny in the Gym wasn't unusual (and neither was him on the ceiling, to be honest), it was the pacing that was a bit odd.
Re: Gym car
"Oh, hi! What's up?"
Besides him.

"Oh yeah, everything's cool."
He steps off the ceiling and flips right side up as he floats down to the ground.

"I'm just thinking about some stuff. No big deal."

"Like I said, its not really a big deal. I just feel weirdly restless, like I can't settle down and chill." He shrugs it off. "I probably just have cabin fever or something. I mean, usually I'd just go on a night flight, but there isn't really anywhere I can do that here."

So, thinking for a moment, she said instead, "Well, if you're feeling a little restless, how about a little late-night training? That usually seems to help."
Not her, necessarily, but she knew a few people who seemed to like doing it when they couldn't sleep.

"I guess that could help."
Not like flying. But it would be something.

Shifting a bit into a fighting stance, she grins. "Whenever you're ready."
no subject
"Okay, ready."
And he moves forward into a leg sweep to start.

"Hey. Trouble sleeping?"

"Eh, sleeps overrated anyway."
Coming from someone who had spent the first half of his time on the train relishing in being able to get a full nights sleep for the first time in two years, this was not perhaps reassuring.

"At least I don't think I am? I do feel fine. Just, you know, a little weird. Which kind of passes for normal for me?"

Gym Car
"... So you're the one leaving footprints up there."
Re: Gym Car
"Oh man, I completely didn't notice."

Thanatos hovers to more Danny's level so neither has to crane their necks so much. "Do you walk on the ceilings often?"

He'd vacuumed the lab ceilings back home more than once.

"I'll leave you to continue your solitude." And with that, Thanatos shifts away. Training can wait for another time.
