oncedriven: (could no one ever dry up the spring)

Asch sighs. "That's fine, then."

It's maybe a more casual thing than most people's reactions would be, but blades have an odd relationship with death anyway. Memories are what they need to be concerned about; memories are what Jade (and Asch himself, but Jade moreso) would be concerned about.

Not that Asch likes the idea of Jade dying, and he's not even sure how that would work here, but.

At the mention of the watch, Asch lifts his arm to pull back his sleeve long enough to look at it. The tiny bit of his wrist that's visible around it - his hand is covered by a black leather glove - has a snatch of glowing red marking, which seems to shimmer faintly. The tiny scrap isn't enough to make out any kind of pattern to it, though.

After regarding the watch for a minute, Asch snorts. "Or a blade, I guess," he says. "Though I have to wonder what vitals it's even measuring." Ether input/output? Synchronization rate, now that he actually has a driver? He drops his hand, the sleeve coming back over the tiny bit of skin, and shoves his hands in his pockets.
