Hi! [Ayumi smiles at the screen out of reflex, pauses, coughs, and assumes a Very Serious Expression.] Er, hello, Red Team.

From what I understand, members of the Red Team are typically assigned the most combat-oriented missions out of the train teams. With that in mind, I have a suggestion.

We should all make some time to meet up somewhere, probably in the training gym for convenience, and talk tactics and compare notes on our abilities. In my experience, having this kind of talk before the really hectic mission starts really pays off, especially since we have a lot of new Reds coming in, including me. Getting to know each other better and learning how to best work together just seems like a good idea!

Would anybody else be interested in a teamwide meeting?

We tend to have meetings just before missions. [And right after if some things needed to be addressed, but never mind that for a newcomer.]

You can also participate in the daily training and workouts in the gym for such things. [Or just lone wolf it like the rest of Red Team tends to do. It's not a very social team, sorry Ayumi.]

Ah. Er, sorry, I didn't know that! I'm just used to having to herd a gaggle of really catty... cats for this sort of thing back home. I'm glad that there's at least a meeting already set up just before the mission, although I think having one earlier so there's no time pressure would still be a good idea.

After all, knowing is half the battle, but pre-planning is at least another quarter!

With the last quarter being, er, actual violence, of course.

Information on the mission will not appear until the day of the mission. If you want to practice techniques beforehand the training gym is always open. I can help you find a sparring partner if you wish.

[He may or may not be pointedly ignoring any other ideas she might be implying. 'Herding cats' might be a good way to describe Red Team. But also he may be a little loyal to Light and her way of doing things.]

But it's still a good idea to get together and organize, especially if we don't know anything about the mission before it happens! If we don't know what kind of situation we're going to be dropped into, we should at least get to know the people that we'll be working with and what we can rely on them for when it happens!

Planning is a moot point without information. Adaptability and ingenuity are key until such time details can be obtained.

Much of Red Team has their key strength in fighting prowess and durability. And many of them spend a large amount of time in the training gym. So, again, your best bet is to find them there. And get to know them in their true element.

Combat is overrated, plus it seems a bit like typecasting to me. Though I wouldn't mind practicing a bit of defense. Skills are a bit rusty.

Trust me, even if you're not good at fighting, your skills will be important! That's why you should come, so we'll all be able to coordinate better and know who can do what.
