Testing Out A New Toy [OPEN]
Who: Nozomi and YOU
Where: Training Gym
When: Month Llama, Day 2
What: Nozomi got an old item at the last stop. She needs to try and figure out how it works here!
Warnings: Dark energies. Magical girl transformations. That sort of thing.
It had just been a stroke of luck that Nozomi had been reminded of her iMog Slate. While she had hated the idea of gathering so much power, the mission last month made her feel it was justified. Besides, it was also to help Entrapta with her research!
Taking the iMog Slate to the Training Gym, she began to fiddle with the device. As she thought, with no connection to the world, most of the apps didn’t work. But, there was one that she knew did work: the job selection.
A) Isn’t This The Same?
Nozomi went to test the waters a bit. She set the main job selection to “Cure Dream” and left the other blank. At that, another CureMo showed up in her hand, causing her to blink. Looks the same, felt the same... she flipped it open, hit the buttons and held it out.
“PRETTY CURE METAMORPHOZE!”
Anyone passing by would see Nozomi transform into Cure Dream, following that they would feel something amazing, like everything about them was better than before! She was buffing them with an aura of sorts. At the same time, Nozomi was busy doing some practice punches as she did.
“Okay, everything feels normal, now let’s see here...”
B) Wrong VerCure
Nozomi then went to fiddle with the Slate again. She set Cure Dream to the secondary slot and put in the Red Mage in the Primary. With that, she changed again. Her costume’s jacket turned into a long-tailed jacked, a wide-brimmed hat on her head and a rapier in her hand.
“Oh, so cool!” Nozomi whispered. She swiped the blade a few times to test it, noting that it seemed sturdy. “So far, it all works, though...”
C) Too Much Evil Power!
There was one last option she had left. One she never tried. Oh, sure she should ignore it still, but with Wizard being so basic, she had to know. Had to find out! The evil connected to it had been defeated, right? So it should be safe!
Thus, she slotted in Calamity Knight instead of Red Mage. Nozomi yelped at the power flowed through her. Her costume changed on her, turning into a form fitting heavy armor. As the transformation stopped, Nozomi dropped to her knees in exhaustion. “I... I may need to rethink this... there’s so much power and yet...!”

Still, she found herself watching this young woman, wondering at the sort of technomagic involved-as the change of clothes that came with it.
She meant to go back to her stretches when she changed forces, and Sonya did nearly a double take when her attire turned to sort of armor. "That..looks rather heavy."
Shit, the young woman didn't look like she weighed all that much, and even light armor after..well, whatever she'd done looked like it required an amount of focus-that had to have been draining alone. Add in extra weight and it was no wonder it took something out of her.
Re: C
Re: C
If it was the former, it might just be a matter of getting accustomed-if it was the latter, perhaps calling it an evening might help.
Wrong journal
She let out a small sigh. “But, this form is more than heavy armor. It’s... evil. Or at least dark energy.”
Re: Wrong journal
And she wasn't just talking about lack of energy.

Things like this might be personal, and admitting to weakness was never easy on anyone's part; on the other hand, this was something she clearly had to work on.
"Name's Sonya Blade." She leaned against one of the large blocks. "Some thirty years combat experience, both mundane and supernatural," This was said matter-of-fact, not boasting. "Perhaps we can manage a way around this."

"But, I haven't succumbed to this power. Not yet. But I have with others. The idea that I need more and more power just to protect people." How to put this... "I'm what's called a 'magical girl'. A Pretty Cure, in my case. But, I've been to places where adorable outfits and pink magic doesn't cut it and I've grown desperate."

The current point was more that Ms. Yumehara was looking to improve herself, either in skill or endurance.
"Have you considered building endurance without the use of magic?" Just because she hadn't succumbed to the power, didn't mean she wasn't at risk. Sonya thought the best case was keeping that to 'worst case' only.

She was purple, not red or even blue, but she'd been in this place long enough that some teams did exchange tasks, and even S&R sometimes required entering dangerous territory.
"I don't suppose you know anyone well enough to help you." She wasn't going to presume, but by her own observations the young woman didn't appear like PT was the main focus of her schedule.

"Wow...I've never met a magical girl quite like you," was what she chose to lead with, waving gently.
Re: A
"Aww, I-I'm not that special!" Nozomi said, grinning bashfully.

"I'm a magical girl too, but my powers don't extend outward so much. And I've mostly worked as a healer here...there are plenty of warriors, but not enough to patch us up with all the trouble we get into."

“I do admit it’s a bit scary - I got caught up in wanting power that I once fought someone.”

Mami doesn't sound judgmental, just curious.

"It's all right. We're all learning and growing together. And I'm glad I'll get the chance to work with you! You seem quite strong."
