Unfond of Sardines, Much Less Being Housed Like One (Open Log)
Who: Freeza, Open post
Where: Around the train, see Boldfaced words.
When: Llama, in the week following the stopoff for training
What: Freeza as he continues to settle, see the sights, and generally just do his job.
Warnings: No Warnings as yet, will edit and update (and mark in thread subject heading) if this changes.
It does not take long for Freeza to build a daily routine, and his day does tend to be very tightly managed. He tends to attend regular meals in the dining carriage at standard times of day, but usually only two meals a day and not more. He will, however, occasionally have a seat there in the evenings to have a drink. In all cases, he will find a place to sit alone but will not reject invitations to be joined or join someone else for conversation, but he will not pointedly sit with someone else unless invited.
It took him a while to get the hang of regular chores with the rest of Team Purple, which involves laundry in the stores this month. (ooc: someone DID have to walk him through how to do that, PM if you want to volunteer your character for having done that.) He can be seen taking care of that and can be seen working wherever it would be necessary to see team members handling this, and he is very meticulous and organized -- he also notably doesn't actually handle a lot of the laundry by hand. TK for the win.
In the mornings he rises in his Cabin (U1E), makes his bunk (he typically takes a top bunk, and notably has to sleep on his stomach or side, because that is how he wakes every morning), washes up, and dresses, either in uniform or the outfit he commissioned.
He trains in the Training Gym and tends to wait until the later evening or the very early morning, whichever is the least populated. Those that can sense ki will note that it tends to be off at this time, but not always.
At the end of the day, Freeza typically returns to his bunk and appears to be sitting and meditating for the remainder of his time awake. He may continue to do this until the train itself "resets" everyone and they wake in bed the next day. Ki-sensing people who are near enough will be aware that his is NOT off, at this time.
Wildcard options are open across the board, because with spare time he does occasionally wander and explore.

Training Gym
And yet after all these months on the train, here he was. Working through some of the fighting techniques different people on the train had showed him.
More accurately, here he was, floating three feet above the floor of the gym, trying to figure out how to make fighting techniques work when he wasn't bound to gravity.
If certain people were paying attention to ki, they might notice that he wasn't putting out any. What he was using might better be described as the absence of ki. Or possibly even the opposite of it.
Re: Training Gym
However, it is also clear that he does occasionally stop to observe what the stranger is doing, or attempting to do.
Re: Training Gym
So maybe it isn't a surprise when he suddenly falls out of the air and crashes onto the gym floor.
A moment later he is back up and punching the air as he cheers! "Yes! I remembered not to go through the floor!"
Re: Training Gym
Well, at this point there was no hiding that he had been observing, sort of trying to pick out his abilities by sight.
"Or is the train less durable than I was led to believe?"
Re: Training Gym
"For me, it is." There might have been a small amount of sourness there. "Walking through walls, and all. Intangibility can be a pain sometimes."
Re: Training Gym
"And here I thought you were merely toying with gravity."

Danny knew there were other people here who could fly. Although he'd yet to meet anyone who did it in the same way he did.

"My kind are typically reared without gravity," he explains, "At least for the first few months. Growing accustomed to it is often the first challenge, not the other way around."
Dining Car
It was not going to last. Hesitant and awkward, the octoling took a few steps toward Frieza... and hesitated a moment before a surge of conviction clenched her hand into a fist. She had past the breaking point and was now going all in.
"Excuse me, sir. I had a question I was hoping you could answer." Well. Manners should still be maintained, and he had every right to refuse...
Re: Dining Car
"I am still fairly new here, so if it is about this place in general, you will likely find better sources, but I will try."
no subject
"My question is more specific to you. May I ask what species you are? You very obviously aren't human..." And neither was she, though she was very obviously humanoid. "...and please forgive my manners. Its just that you reminded me very much of someone I would meet from my home."
Maybe... not exactly, but closer than most.
no subject
But at the very least, she seemed to know what kind of question she was asking.
"...I daresay that is the most polite 'what are you?' I have ever been asked," he says with a blink.
no subject
"I'm an Octarian, and where I am from..." Her people went to war with the ones that would come to rule the surface. Her very presence above ground could have been taken very badly if she gave them reason to be suspicious. "...our people are very aware of how we present ourselves. If I represent myself badly, then people could think that my example would be true for other Octarians. Especially during introductions."
"If it is an impolite question, then I do not mind not receiving an answer. If you would like I can mind my own business."
no subject
He considers the best way to answer, though. How a question is asked really does make all the difference in the world.
"There are few enough of us at home that most simply refer to others as members of my family. While there is a word for us, it is not one we readily share with others, so in the spirit of tradition, I suppose I cannot offer you any more than my name."
no subject
"Please, allow me the start. I was the one who approached first." She bows politely. "I go by Eight. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
*your. Excuse my typos
"Likewise, I am sure. I am called Freeza."
He gestures at the empty seat across from him.
"Would this happen to be your first trip through -- the void, dimensions, whatever we are calling it this week?"
no subject
"Yes. I have been here for a while, but its still a lot to get used to." She sighs. It was over four months now, though beyond that it is getting harder to track. "This isn't your first time, then?"
no subject
So at least by now he had gotten used to timeline issues, different universes and the odd anomaly.

She leans back and ponders it a little more. "And if no one has asked or treated you like a friend, then I would think you might be the first version of you that has boarded this train." She didn't get it, but had heard people coming back so had to admit that was a possibility.
"Was that other trip also a Voidtrecker Express?" Though she wasn't so rigid to think that there may have other types of vehicles like the Voidtrecker Express, it was safer to assume a similar situation before moving on to something new.

"That ship was more akin to one that travels on water on most earth settlements, and I suppose that is no sillier than a train." This place had been more attractive because of the structure it offered. At least for preparation.
no subject
She takes a moment to comport herself. "That sounds much more preferable than a train."
She's had enough of trains to last her a lifetime.
no subject
He's not necessarily saying he prefers this place already, far from it, but the Barge was less than perfect, and a few creature comforts would not change that.
no subject
"When you put it that way, I suppose being inside a train would be safer..."
Hmn... "And you said you were on two vessels...? Do you remember what was happening before you came to the platform, or did you also wake up like everyone?"
no subject
The only reason so far that there was no one to blame for the strangeness was that whoever ran this place did not make the mistake of communicating with everyone, thus reminding them that someone could literally fix everything if they wished, and merely chose not to.

"Please forgive my outburst. That was indecent of me."

"Thank you for bringing this to my attention." She returns her attention back to Freeza. "Have you been adjusting well to this new location?"
