Luggage Reunion
Who: Taiki, Inigo and Tidus
Where: Luggage carriage or nearby
When: Merriment 1
What: Taiki returns from his almost two week absence.
Warnings:
It's not Taiki's first time waking up in a suitcase. It had happened to him a few time so there was not a lot of fear when he woke in darkness, the air musty around him. He pushed forwards and the lid swung open easily.
He thought back to the last thing he remembered. He remembered his birthday, or at least the party that Tidus had thrown for him and Inigo despite it not really being either of their birthdays. Then the next day, the voice asking him to go to the control carriage and then nothing.
Until now. He sat up and looked around. He was lucky, that he had woken, that he hadn't walked into the unknown. He stood up slowly, wondering what day it was. How much had he missed? Had he missed a mission?
Had he missed a platform? Where his friends still here? So many questions and the only way to get answers was to get out of this suitcase.

"Don't mind me Inigo... Just be careful..."
He doesn't want to ruin their fun. But he doesn't want anyone to get hurt.
no subject
"How could you say that, Taiki? Minding you is basically our job!" Is he lying? They're basically a pack of puppies constantly trying to make sure that Taiki is happy and that nothing is inconveniencing them - even though Inigo means it in a more joking way than that, judging by his tone.
But he does realise the joke may come across the wrong way, so he shakes his head and adds with a smile: "In the best way possible, I mean. We want you to be as happy as can be!"
They love their pal!!
"Right, Tidus? We can try it some other time!"
no subject
"You're not curious to see him do it?" he looks to Taiki as he asks it. "If he's safe about it. ...how do you do it anyway? Do you have to sit down?"
He's trying to imagine this, Inigo with his sword and an apple... does he hold the sword between his legs and peel it that way!?
no subject
He thanked Tidus for the bucket and tilted his head. "Um... I guess so."
He doesn't have the first idea how he would peel an apple with a sword.
no subject
But rather than protesting against that, there's a new ball being thrown his way. The accusation, no, implication that he could somehow not be able to do this! Is his pride as a sword apple peeler being called into question?!
"It's not that hard!" He whines, staring between the two. "You just hold your sword in one hand, and the apple in the other! What part of that is so hard to understand?"
no subject
Who he is looking from Inigo to, his blank expression speaking, 'Does that sound simple to you?' for him.
Well.
"I wanna see it."
They might as well, right? Since it's so..........simple.
no subject
"I don't think Tidus is going to let you get away without showing him, Inigo."
And Tidus was very stubborn. He's in good company, for Taiki and Inigo had their moments of stubbornness too. But not usually about such things as feats of apple pealing.
no subject
But despite that tone, he is moving towards the fruit crates, looking through them to find a nice apple. He takes a few steps back so he's in clear view of the two of them, still holding the apple with one hand, while he summons his sword - his regular one, thanks, using his weirdly curved levin sword would be hard.. - to his hand.
Then he just moves the apple until it's against the sword's sharp edge, starting to turn the apple over in his hand as the peel starts coming off.
"I seriously don't get what the big deal here is," Inigo says. This is so easy, he could whistle while he does it! In fact, that's exactly what he does after speaking up!
no subject
There's a moment where Tidus makes an exasperated face at the pair of them (the pair, that's right!!!), and honestly, this is completely distracting from what they initially came in here for, but here they are. Tidus standing and waiting to see this ridiculous, and...
...he's not disappointed. But he's more flabbergasted at how easy it looks, for something that should be a lot more difficult! This is cheating! Cheating!
"How?" is all Tidus can spit out at first, staring with a gawk to him. And then, as if offended of how apparently simple this is, he's coming over to Inigo, holding out his hands.
"Give me a go."
They were just supposed to be feeding Taiki..............
no subject
He smiles softly at Tidus' reaction, quiet for a moment as he just watches the two of them. It seems sword fruit peeling is the activity of the moment.
no subject
Inigo mostly still looks really confused that Tidus seems to think this is so hard, but fine, fine. If he wants to try it out, then of course he'll let him! He first hands Tidus the half-peeled apple, just so he has two empty hands in order to be able to hand the other his sword without cutting either of their hands like an idiot. Especially in front of Taiki. That's one circus they can't risk.
"There, try it out."
The moment he's given Tidus the Instruments, Inigo instead walks over to Taiki, wrapping an arm across his shoulders with a smile. Come on, come on, let's watch this show together!
no subject
But he tries again, and seems to find a good spot; his expression lighting up, a smile starting to sh

The sword and apple both clatter and roll to the floor as the sword catches on the side of his palm, a thin line of red emerging, the blood growing.
whomp whomppppppppppppppppppppppp
no subject
Or at least he didn't mind until disaster struck. His whole body reacts, flinching away from the smell of blood. The need to run, the wish to hide wars with the horrible worry that Tidus is hurt he needs help and a wave of dizziness washes over him as the scent of blood washes over him.
"Tidus!"
He stumbles forward, despite wanting to run away, the instinctual fear of the sword and blood making him feel as if his heart was going to explode out of his chest.
no subject
During any other moment, Inigo would have been glad that he was right. That he wasn't being cautionary for some dumb reason, but that he saw coming exactly what was about to happen.
But he can't even have that in this moment. Because he can already feel Taiki reacting. It'd be one thing if Tidus ended up bleeding while it was just him and Inigo. It'd be dumb, but something they could probably laugh about after some dramatics. But considering the effect that blood has on Taiki, and the way he's trying to move towards Tidus--
Sweet Naga, this is just too much.
Inigo quickly moves towards where the sword is laying on the floor, making it disappear into his band. That's one blood source gone.
And while he's hurrying towards it and doing that, he calls out: "Tidus, heal yourself!" YOU HAVE HEALING MAGIC, DUDE. PLEASE. Before Taiki gets too close to that blood!!
no subject
Except Tidus doesn't have the thought to use his brain for anything other than panicking on the spot. It stings, but it's not that bad of a cut, but Taiki right there is making his brain blue screen. At least, until there's shouting, first from Taiki and then Inigo, and he looks from the first and then over to the sink - and he nods his head frantically towards the way out.
"You leave the room! Inigo, go with him! It's cool, lemme wash up! Don't get sick 'cause of me!"
He says the last as he's turning for the sink, hand below the one bleeding to try and catch any blood. It'll be a fuss with the water already in the sink, but he can drain that out and get fresh water flowing.
no subject
But then Tidus speaks and it calms him slightly, if he is speaking he can at least breathe. He is ordering Taiki out and that is perhaps for the best. He nodded and moved towards the door, staying upright and calm.
"Please." He turned to Inigo. "Stay with him, make sure he is alright."
He didn't want Tidus to have to be alone and injured, not because of Taiki.
no subject
And then there are times where both of them are telling him to do the opposite thing the other says in a situation that he was already trying to prevent in the first place, and he kind of just wants to chuck himself out into the void and never return.
He can feel his stress levels rising to unhealthy amounts over here, but he does know he can't keep both of these two in the room. Not if they want to risk Taiki feeling nauseous for at least a few days. So Inigo quickly moves over to Taiki's side, putting an arm across the other's back to help support him and move him out of the carriage and over towards the door to the next.
"Listen, Taiki, just go sit down in the next carriage for a moment, okay? I'm going to quickly get rid of the blood, and then we'll get back to you." Because like heck is Inigo going to trust Tidus to take care of this problem after that display, okay. And they can't hang out with all three of them until Tidus is blood-free. On the outside, anyway.
no subject
That's what Tidus tries calling as the two of them start heading the way out. After Taiki tries to get Inigo to stay, and Tidus really doesn't want both of them to be anti-Taiki magnets because of his blood. Please, don't get his disgusting blood scent all over Inigo too!!
But he also can't do much about whatever they're doing, and focuses on the cut. A cut that continues to bleed when he takes it out of the pouring water, but it's not fast, just an open wound. At least with the both of them out, he can concentrate better than he was; so he takes the time there, with his nerves still shaky, to cast a light healing spell.
Reminder: They came here to get something to eat.
no subject
He feels terrible, not just the dizziness that should fade now he was somewhere the air was clearer, but the fact that Tidus was hurt. And that his friends had had to be so worried about him rather than the fact Tidus had been injury. He had to be more careful. Had to avoid situations like that.
He leaned against the window sadly. Worried about Tidus and feeling bad that he had had to abandon him in his moment of need.
no subject
So once he's sure Taiki is sitting down properly, Inigo returns to check up on Tidus.
"Are you alright?"
Look, he didn't even have the opportunity to see if it was a deep cut or not! Everything happens so fast! And it's not like he isn't concerned about Tidus here at all. So he can spare a moment of concern, making sure the other is okay first before they return to trying to make sure Tidus doesn't just trigger all of Taiki's blood senses.
no subject
"Fiiine, fine." He shows his hand, still with a reddish mark and the water he hasn't cleaned off, before returning to the process of healing it up. "Flesh wound. But I told you cutting with a sword's awkward! It's way big!"
It's not a blaming remark, or anything of the sort - just Tidus whining as he's one to do, a point he doesn't stick on as he nods over to the door.
"What about Taiki? You know he's going to worry. Tell him I'm fine! I just wanna take off my hoodie and clean up."
Really, it's a lot of fuss over nothing, more concern given to Taiki. But what normal guy doesn't end up with bumps and bruises and even cuts; it's nothing worth the fretting it's getting.
cutting in early so katy doesn't have to write 'taiki is sitting there alone and crying' okay
Come on, they both know Taiki. In fact, they know he's going to worry even when Tidus seems like he's fine again. It's just how Taiki is! Way too kind!
(And Inigo is also way too kind for not telling Tidus I told you so as to not doing this whole thing. But the other is already hurt - and Inigo isn't going to rub salt into that wound.)
"Do you think you can heal it up like that? Else take a bit of a potion. The sooner we're back there with him, the better, you know. And wash your hands with soap or something-- to get the scent of blood off them."
no subject
"You go back out there now, and tell Taiki everything's fine. I'll be five minutes! Tell him to start cooking - the both of you! Or I'll complain about you two making me go hungry."
By nagging him and giving him performance iss-nevermind! He just wants this guy out to make Taiki worry less by being with his own thoughts.
"Go!" He shoos Inigo - and, more directly: "Shoo, shoo!"
1/2
"You owe me."
Seriously! If it wasn't for Tidus insisting that Inigo perform the trick right then and there in Taiki's presence, there wouldn't have been a problem to begin with! Yet here he is, being shood around like some servant!
