Who: Nozomi and YOU

What: Nozomi wanders through various cars in various days doing various things!
Warnings: Violence? Vines?

Things have been so strange and tiresome for Nozomi. Even though a few days had passed, she was still feeling the drain caused by the events. Even more so, some of her friends had either left or disappeared, so she needed to do something to get her mind off of things!

Day 17 - Games Car

Nozomi decided to try out one of the VR games the train had to offer. She chose Knight Quest, enjoying the straightforward adventure she was given. There would be a screen showing Nozomi’s character fighting the various monster in her way. However, one monster got through her defense and struck her down. The dramatic death scene showed Nozomi’s armor disappearing as her character’s ponytail came undone as she hit the ground.

“Gaaaaah! That was the fifth time!” She groaned.

Day 18 - Greenhouse

The greenhouse seems… quiet. Like there was no one in there. Of course, there is one interesting sight - Nozomi hanging on a pole of roses, the vines and flowers encircling her.

“It’s okay! Honest! Um… I… think something’s off with me, though. I never had powers like this.”

Day 19 - Wildcard

Of course, Nozomi could be anywhere else in this train. Watching movies in the theater car? Training with her powers in the Training Gym? Messing with her devices in the Lab? Swimming in the spa?

“What did you have?” Nozomi asked, blinking.

"I could talk to animals," Nell said. "Pretty much any animal or bird or what have you, but 'specially the big cats - lions, leopards, tigers..."

Her voice trailed off and a smile crossed her face as the memories of how that had felt filled her. Hearing their voices, knowing they could understand hers... it had been amazing and made her feel closer to everything.

“There might be animals here we could try that with.” Nozomi said, impulsively taking Nell’s hand. “We just have to find one.”

Nell couldn't help but giggle. "Okay," she said. "But are there really animals here too?"

“I’m honestly not sure, but this train is big enough to have something tucked away.” Nozomi said. “And maybe someone has a normal animal, too!”

Oh, there’s her optimism!

She couldn't quite stop giggling at Nozomi's optimism. "I think we might have noticed if there were any leopards or lions around, but I suppose there might be other animals."

Nell smiled at the other woman. "But wouldn't you'un like to experiment with the plants? Since we'uns is already here and all?"

“Ah. Aha, I guess you’re right. It would help out a lot if I had more practice.” Nozomi admitted.

“I’m not sure what I did. I just held my hand out…”

Once again, she held her hand out, the roses moving themselves towards her hand.

"Can you ask them to move away from you?" Nell asked.

“Uh… move around me? Please?” Nozomi said.

Instead of moving away, it started to curl around her hand. “N-no, not like that!”

Nell put a hand in the soil again, ready to step in if necessary. "Focus," she suggested. "See if you can make a connection in your mind with the plant."

“Focus… focus…” Nozomi closed her eyes, concentrating as much as she could, gasping as she felt the connection, the plants stopping their movement.

“I… I can feel them… hear them…”

"Good. Now see if you can ask them to do something simple. Grow a little bit or move a little..."

“Alright…”

Nozomi concentrates and, with a little more work, gets them to move, pulling off her hand as she does.

“…is it always this tough?”

"Depends," Nell said. "Some things I hardly need to think about. Some things take a lot of effort and some are near impossible. I s'pose mostly it takes practice."

“Ah, I see…” Nozomi said, nodding. And with her concentration off, the vines start rewrapping her again.

Nell giggled. "Focus, Nozomi, focus!"

“Woah! Sorry, sorry!” Nozomi said, getting her attention back on the plants and getting them under control.

“I’m glad you showed up when you did…”

"M'glad I could help," Nell said. "It's kinda nice findin' someone else who can do what I can. Or at least something like what I do, I guess."

“It is nice. You’re not alone in that thing…” Nozomi said. She smiled at Nell. “You can… stay around me if you want…”

And she giggled as she moves to roses over to Nell.

"Now, now," Nell said with a laugh. "I'm happy to stay around. You don't need to wrap me up in vines!"

Nozomi laughed as well, pulling the vines away and returning them to the pole where they first hung.

“Don’t worry, I have no intention on capturing you like that!” She said. “But, it feels good… finding someone with what you have and bonding a bit!”

"It does," Nell said slowly. "I've... never really shared it with anyone before. I couldn't back home, they might have burned me as a witch."

“What?! Why?! I…!” Nozomi stammered in shock. Nell seemed so nice and her powers so harmless and yet, she was being told that if she used them at her home, she would have been burnt!

"I grew up in a very restrictive.." cult "...church," Nell said. "Anything magical was considered to be evil."

And her powers weren't as harmless as they seemed. Though Nell didn't want to use them for bad purposes.

Nozomi shook her head before she pushed over to hug Nell, pulling the other woman close to her.

“I understand…” she whispered.
