Merriment 15 Mission Documents and Interviews [OTA]
Who: Elidibus and Various [OtA]
Where: L1:B, Quiet Car, Standard Car
When: Merriment 15-18
What: Collation of reports, interviews.
Warnings: Reports may or may not contain various traumas.
[Neat notices are posted in strategic locations around the train- namely the dining car, standard car and appropriate communal spots. The message reads much the same content as this network post.]
An Interview - the Quiet Car
For those who wanted to speak directly about their experience, Elidibus chose one of the quiet booths to conduct it. There is an open notebook- the one the train initially provides- and a pencil in hand, likely to make any key notes.
"What would you like to begin with?" he quietly asks.
Other!
Below are various other methods of turning in details about the mission on the false Diagad. Please respond to the appropriate comment. Everything will be collated 'as is' into a public record. The only exception are personal interviews which will be summarized with the salient information.

When the train's the biggest demonic cultivator present.
Anyway, it's to the present, and not his lack of intentions on Elidibus, that he goes. He notes the studying, the evaluation, and smiles in spite of himself.
"Stare that hard, I wonder if I should worry it was more than just Chaos-touched that I was." But not surprising, given he'd ended up practically encased in tendrils playing at the end. "I'll learn one way or another, I suppose. I'm not concerned." He shrugs, and that's genuine; he's lived with enough nightmares, it's not particularly concerning he has even more. At least he can identify a cause.
"Either way, Chaos was more emotionally charged and reachable by human-enough minds to relate. It's what did that to Chaos's world, and how Chaos was able to void travel as energy alone, and do so repeatedly and swiftly to places where Chaos could then pull others in through the Void itself that makes me more curious in the end. Have you spoken with anyone who anchored?"

"Forgive me. I wanted to be certain my assessment was correct. I had no intentions otherwise." You could say the tone is patient. And perhaps a little too serious-minded, but that seems to be his general attitude.
"I'll be interested to know if the effect of the nightmares on you lessen any once you are fully recovered. But also, and especially as you are still under the influence of Chaos's aether; I would like you to record the dreams or any experiences you might have related to the entity and the ruin of his Star."
The last bit though... As Wei Wuxian casts light on matters he has interest in finding answers for, Elidibus shows some sign of pause and thoughtful consideration.
"What the... distortion which undid Diagad was, I can't say. However, I am quite familiar with similar means of travel. Drawing someone physically through to another world..." He pauses a moment. "...I understand how it can be done. But the amount of aether it would take for even one person is immense."
Still Elidibus gives a faint smile. "Of course, even if the means Chaos has access to with this void space and his original gifts means it is more efficient, it has been made very clear he has access to ample resources to fuel such magicks." The Ascian then shakes his head. "Not yet. I didn't anchor. But even if one doesn't appear for an interview, I do plan to seek some out."

Science, when one knows what else to call it. Curiosity, when one isn't a scholar.
"You're at least familiar with mechanisms that can work, whatever the cost of their functioning." A nod of acknowledgement, and his own thoughts, listening to another person's in turn. "The attempt didn't happen before being in that unstable place, where the Void was accessible in multiple points, or," he says, waving a hand, "Whatever the proper terming is for it. Chaos had immense power, and it borrowed on the Void to do what it did, on a scale Anan and hers hadn't seen or understood as happening before. Even while later, the means to send them back became anchoring, and the losses of lives incurred wasn't negligible, either way."

"Are you referring to the Void Nexus the temple was in or some other place before then?" Elidibus asks. "Regrettably, I can't offer insight on the places I haven't been. But was there not mention the false Diagad was also a place of several void convergences? It may have been the temple's presence and the work of the monks, rather than its basic nature."
As yes, Anan. Setting aside his knowledge a moment, Elidibus frowns a little at mention of the Voidtrecker and her allies. "I had a chance to speak with her. Is there no way to converse with other trains without crossing paths? There are many questions I would like to pose to her and hers in less dangerous circumstances."
The Ascian then sighs in a way that can't be mistaken as impatience. "The foolish who thought to attack without thinking of where we are. I regret sharing the knowledge I did to the young man." Though it doesn't sound like the guilt of the deaths it caused is weighing heavily on Elidibus.
The irritation is directed more at the idiocy of attacking what amounts to the protective bubble keeping them from descending into surrounding Void.
"I will need to speak with them as well. Have you any you would recommend speaking to from those who offered anchors?" Elidibus then questions, refocusing on the other man.

As far as talking cross-train, "There's bound to be ways, but as of now, I don't think our train's equipped for them. Probably out of some degree of choice, having lost its crew and all of us not being approved to work here, so to speak. On the Void Nexus, I meant the false Diagad--if places can converge like that without there being a noted point in that universe where things are happening to attract attention, the Void flows like it does."
Oh boy I am SOMEWHAT BEHIND HERE. :D;;
"I admit knowing little of voidspace. But I wonder if that place had truly been a natural convergence. The message the train left prior to the event suggested it was a highly unusual concentration even for a nexus."
His brow furrows. "Could you explain what you meant by that? 'The Void flows like it does'?"
